PIT66 Center Console Armrest Latch Compatible with Ford Ranger/Compatible with Mazda B Series 1992-2003 Easy Fix Arm Rest

Having a broken latch is such a huge minor inconvenience and I was so annoyed I was about to glue a magnet and call it a day. I’m glad I didn’t! This latch is super easy to install - peel back the corners of the carpet under the lid and there are four Phillips screws. Remove the screws and the top will come off. From there just put this latch in where the old one was, put the screws back, and close it up! The carpet will still be sticky enough to still adhere with no issues.

So easy to install, fits perfectly. Since this piece is metal it will not wear out, my center console closes tight now the first time and no need to attempt to close the console cover several times.

This is a solid piece that fit right in. It's been installed only a couple of weeks now but it definitely is built to last compared to the plastic one from factory. Best of all it allowed me to use the center compartment as intended, instead of tying a strap around it to keep it closed while not in use.

It worked in my 1999 Ford Ranger center counsel.
