Aprilaire#613 Merv 13 Filter Media (2 Pack)

This filter really does a good job of trapping dust and dirt. Aprilaire says to replace them every 9 to 12 months. But mine is filthy after only six months. It's quick and easy to replace once you understand how it attaches.If you've never replaced a collapsible filter like this one before, pay attention to how your existing filter is attached when you slide it out. Notice that the filter has a black plastic panel at the top and bottom. These panels fit into grooves in your HVAC unit. Also note the position of the arrow on your old filter. This arrow pertains to the direction of the air flow. It's important that the arrow on your new filter points in the same direction.Once the top and bottom panels on your new filter are aligned correctly, simply slide it into place. The whole removal and installation process takes just a couple of minutes.My only complaint about this filter is the price. Looking at how it's made, a single filter should retail for $24.95 or less in my opinion. For the high cost, I'm deducting one star in my review. However, buying a filter from Amazon (and installing it myself), is still a lot cheaper than the $70.00 my local HVAC shop charges for a single filter. Of course, their price includes installation. But like I said, it only takes a couple of minutes to change it out.

These filters catch a lot of dirt so they do need replaced frequently (mine last 3-4 months). The price seems high for something disposable. Haven’t found these locally, other than thru a HVAC contractor and then it’s a comparable price or higher. Be patient during install and it’s an easy DIY chore that only takes a few minutes.

This is a great furnace filter. This is the model that our furnace requires. I bought this as a back up when our present one needs to be changed. I would definitely buy again when needed.

If you already have this type of furnace filter, then you know it doesn’t do a good job, hard to install and EXPENSIVE, to say the least. If your having your furnace replaced, go with the regular HEPA filter and filter cabinet. Both last just as long (up to one year) PLUS you can buy replacements at your local Lowe’s or Home Depot for a third of the cost.

HVAC Half-Price is fast at shipping. Product got here four days before it was supposed to.I really wish that there was an off-brand version of these. If there was It would be even a better deal.

Much cheaper than buying same from our Heating & cooling company. Filter itself not hard to install just the furnace setup.

Product works as advertised

Price of these filters has gone up substantially but they do seem to collect a lot of dirt. Only good for six months. This time they were shipped a carton that torn open on both ends and looked like it had gone through a battle. Fortunately, damage was not apparent. I may search for an alternative.
