Didn't care for this at all
This was a really odd story, with illustrations that did not capture my children's attention at all. After reading it to my 5 kids, ages 11-3, all of them gave it a thumb's down, which were my thoughts exactly! Not a fun Christmas story. Maybe it was intended to be humorous, but we didn't care for it much. (I ended up giving it away, I didn't want it in our Christmas book collection!)

A new Christmas tradition at our house.
I bought this book last year 2006 for my then-6-year-old son. There is so much to read (and so much humor!) on every page - it's so entertaining. I love it because it presents the mystery of Santa in a fanciful, rather wacky way - we both get lots of laughs and it's crazy ideas always provoke a few questions along the way. This book has become a new Christmas tradition in our house and has been a party-gift for a few friends as well. Spread the cheer!

Funny, great for the whole family.
Very funny book "explaining" how Santa and his elves achieve what they do. It is great fun for all ages. The illustrations and cartoon character dialogues are hilarious.

BEST book on Santa out there!
Every parent should own this book! Amazing insight into the real Santa and his workshop! I loved it the first time I read it aloud to my son and still love finding new clues and pictures in the amazing art work. A+ class act writing!

How Santa Really Works by Alan Snow
Fun interpretation of Santa Claus & all the magic that is required to meet the needs of children all over the world. Gave books to all the little grand kids. Fun, clever & easy reading.

Santa -- the real stuff
I gave this book to my brother-in-law since he plays the part of Santa every year at a community Christmas festival and I knew he would enjoy reading it.

Colorful, Delightful, Entertaining
I agree with reviews on the Web like "Santa Claus, C.E.O." from the New York Times, "Believing in the Magic of Santa" from MidWeek (Hawaii), "Box Clever for Christmas" from TES (formerly Times Educational Supplement, UK), "Homing Instinct" from The Telegraph (UK), "Review - How Santa Really Works" from the Boomerang Blog (Australia), and "Bearer of Seasonal Cheer" from The Star (Malaysia). This book is colorful and delightful, with entertaining answers to questions like "How does Santa get down a chimney?" (he's actually thin!). Buy this from Amazon.com!

Our Christmas book choice for 2007
I bought this book for my 6-year-old son who has many questions about Santa. If he ever get a hold of the book I am sure he will enjoy it. The last two evenings my 10-year-old daughter and I have read this book together and we enjoyed everything about it. While it is a typical quick read for a picture book, we spent a long time study the illustrations which we thought were very funny. I found myself enjoying this book so much I forgot for a few minutes that it was fiction. Definitely worth buying and quite a cute book for a gift.
