Size:1-9/16" | Color:Matte Black Use Dritz curtain grommets to transform a piece of fabric into a curtain panel. The grommets are easy to install and create a series of openings in which to insert a curtain rod and make your panel ready to hang.

If you mess these up, it ain't the grommet's fault
These are great. I saw two negative reviews about this before I bought them and I'd like to address those concerns.1. Someone said they weren't for blackout curtains because said person somehow tore up their curtains and had to throw them away. I'm having a hard time imagining how this person messed up so badly. If you can trace and cut a circle, the grommets do the rest for you. They literally just snap into place. I mean, they come with a stencil and everything. I used them on blackout curtains and had no trouble at all. Granted, I learned how to cut a circle earlier than most people. I think it was kindergarten.2. They are made of plastic. News flash: they are pretty much all made of plastic, and definitely at this price point, but that's not a bad thing! You don't have to use a hammer to knock those suckers into place, just snap them together with your fingers. And they're lightweight, which helps them slide more quietly across the bar instead of clanging metal on metal.I did also read that a couple of people's came scratched, but mine didn't for what it's worth, and I bought all three colors (black, pewter, and bronze). These suckers are fantastic, and my windows look d*** classy.

Good for light material; not sun blocking drape materials.
The ad did not specify the type of material these grommets would work for. My upholstery type material for sun blocking in a bedroom did not fit the bill for these grommets. A binding with precut grommet holes which I also purchased at Amazon, made the hem too thick for these grommets to snap together once the hole was cut larger. The binding holes were 1/16" smaller than the plastic grommets. Through trial and error learning, I later spent an extra $170 to a professional drape/upholstery business to use their industrial equipment to cut larger holes and to set metal grommets in my velvet drapery material. Amazon Prime's return policy is fair, yet requires extra time, if you can spare it. These grommets are best used for light weight materials with interfacing, not the added binding.

Cheap, poor quality plastic. Pass.
Did not realize that these are plastic and not bronze metal. They arrived scratched and scuffed and definitely not in a condition to be used. The plastic is see through, and looks very low-quality. Not what I expect from Dritz. I would never put them on a fabric shower curtain. Perhaps they would upgrade a plastic shower curtain liner used alone, but that’s setting the bar low. Just pass. I reordered metal Dritz grommets for a few dollars more and will be returning these.

Easy to use
I bought these to modify some curtains that have a casing that slip over the rod. With these grommets is a pattern to mark and cut out the circle so the grommets can be snapped in place. With these grommets on your curtains it is "very" easy to either open or shut your curtains and look very nice as well.. I did notice that the use of the grommets also help block more of light at the top of the window, better coverage.

Easy to use.
These curtain grommets were ridiculously easy to use. I was able to turn a pair of drapes from the thrift shop into East to move drapes with rings in minutes. Two things to keep in mind when using these rings. First, when tracing the provided template, trace the inner, small circle. When cutting the hole for the grommet it’s easy to cut the hole a little bigger if needed. Not so easy to make the hole smaller! And second, when installing the grommet rings, be sure to have the outer grommet pieces facing you with the inner part of the grommet on the back of the curtain. And snap, you’re all set!

Keep your fabric thin for these to work
The capacity of these grommets is limited and they will pop apart if your fabric is too thick. I've done a lot of grommet draperies and now plan for this. The header of drapes usually is thicker then these units can handle. Plan for only 2 layers and interface where these will be placed. I've tried hot glue to keep them in - no go. I've spray painted these with plastic paint to coordinate with the fabric and the finish works well.

Looks professional done
I was nervous about cutting my curtians but I was more furstrated that my curtians wouldn't slide well when I tried to open them so I took a chance on these and I am so glad I did. This fixed the problem and they look like I bought them that way, These were easy to install and no tools were needed except scissors.

Nice, easy to use but not bronze in color
I found these very easy to add to my curtains. I think the hardest part was cutting the holes. I like the grommets, but they are brown plastic and do not look bronze when attaching them to the curtains, they may appear bronze once I hang the curtains.

Easy peasy!
Took me less then 20 mins to do 4 curtain panels! They snap together super easy and hold the curtain tightly even in areas where there were more layers of fabric. Highly recommend!

Does the job: verify amount as soon as you get them
Product works well enough: they are plastic but you really can't tell when they are in place.Count your pieces when you get them: I was half a ring short but had passed my return window because I did not use them soon after purchasing. Thankfully I lucked out at the thrift store and was able to complete my drapes.
