I needed a way to have quick access and keep my pistol out of reach of my grand kids, this works great. I am going to order another one for my wife's side of the bed too!

Altogether this is a very ample solution for gun owners who want to keep their firearm accessible but do diligence to keep it safely secured.It is not impenetrable. It will slow down the determined and stop the curious.The drop down design is effective and well implemented. It is a bit noisy upon opening. Be aware that once the correct code is entered it opens quick.Holds my Sig P220 and an extra extended magazine no problem.One issue: The two thumb screws that are supposed to secure the safe to the mounting bracket do not work. They are a different diameter and thread pitch from the nuts welded into the bracket. Total QA Fail on that one. I got around it by using close matching sheet metal screws and self tapping them in. Which was not easy working inside the case (lock pliers helped).It would also be nice to be able to plug in an external power supply and have option of leaving the keypad illuminated constantly.Other than that, no problems. It works very well for me and my application and I am very satisfied with the unit and price.

This safe is really awesome and good quality. It pops right open when you put in your code. I would keep it but unfortunately had to return it because I need something to fit in my car and this blocked the glove compartment

I received this safe and followed the very easy directions. The safe indicated that the code was successfully recorded. But every time I tried the code it would not work. I opened the safe with the key and repeated the process until the door would no longer latch closed. Contacted the seller. They asked for the model. I gave it to them and then - nothing. Amazon makes returning defective products easy. Very thankful for this.

Great product, it works exactly like is suppose to. Easy to install

This product is sturdy enough to keep my side arm out of the reach of any children which is why I purchased it. Could most likely be popped open with a pry bar rather quickly.

A little hard to install but good quality. Readily recommend.

Works ok for the price. The numbers should be colored. Very noisy when the drawer drops.
