As mentioned in the Questions section, the manufacturer says it will fit a "normal" size stock. I had intended it for a particular rifle with a Bell and Carlson stock but it does not fit as it tapers too quickly toward the grip/wrist. I have found that "Normal" does not include any of the 7 rifles I tried it on including a Garand which I thought for sure would be a common enough size. It would work well on something with a very tall comb like they illustrate in all their promotional photos. There just isn't enough adjustment to make it work on everything, and that is always the problem with a universal fit item. It is very well made. The side reinforcement stitching looks durable but limits how much the part can stretch.I'm also not a fan of turning my gun into a billboard advertisement. The company name is in three places including the inside and on a pull tag which are both nice. I didn't realize how much the outside writing would bother me, but it does.Obviously, given the 4 star review, I'm impressed with the quality even though it didn't fit anything I own. Hopefully they can take these suggestions and make a version that fits more stocks.

I really like these shell holders, BUT. If the hook and loop that secures around the butt stock were 2 3/4" wide rather than 1 3/4" they would fit every gun. As it is they simply wont work on many rifles. With that simple modification the complaints should stop. Too little time went into research by manufacturer. Please pass this message forward. Thank you. I had to add a 1 1/2" pc of velcro to make it work on a stock savage rifle. I shouldn't have to modify a thing like this. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN THIS GLARING DEFICIENCY IS CORRECTED, I WOULD LIKE TO BUY SOME SERVICABLE AMMO HOLDERS.

I ordered this in the shotgun size for a Mossberg 835 turkey shotgun with synthetic buttstock. It is to large to fit properly, especially if using a gun sling. It would be helpful if the dimensions of this item were provided. I like the concept of the pouch, but in my opinion overpriced for what you get. Not sure how well this would hold up in field conditions.

Used it on a Rugar .270, so the rounds are a little large for it when it's on the stock because it forms to the stock's curve. also, it's kinda tricky to get on to where it looks right because they couldn't accommodate for the stock's taper. other than that, it's fine. All I can say is, "hey, it works!"

I have been looking for something to hold some extra shells . I jab a different style but the shells could fall out , not this one , with the Velcro top they will stay in place.

Like the top cover flap and the pocket underneath the ammo loops. Been looking for this type of product for years. Have lost spare cartridges while hunting, tracking deer, walking from truck, etc., due to not having a bottom and top on my previous butt stock shell holders. Velcro attachment enables me to adjust for different stocks and left-hand use; I shoot rifles left-handed. Looking forward to putting it to use this coming fall deer season. Have purchased one for each of my deer hunting rifles.

Better than most because it doesn't have to go on from the muzzle end, and remove scope.Still working on it to fit around sling stud.

The ammo I have is .300wm...the small ammo size will not fit all 10 300wm. Must use large ammo(not the shotgun, that's separate product). Overall I'm 100% happy with quality and fitment.
