Already have a pair of F3's, bought the F7 for the rare instance I'm cutting a larger diameter cable. Also wanted to have a backup pair. Have the F3 for about 25 years and still cuts steel cable like cutting thru butter, hoping for the same from the F7. Another reason I bought them was there was a huge mistake on the listed price, bought them as soon as I saw the mistake, an hour later the price was back up to where it should have been. Expected the order to be cancelled but it wasn't. I'm happy with the F7's

I have fought cutting wire rope / steel cable for a long time. this cutter makes a clean cut which makes it easy to install crimp connectors over the cut end.

Well made and very sharp. Used them seriously for the first time today for extracting a screw that was stripped out. Amazing! Did not have to dig out my screw extractors. Out in seconds! My boyfriend had to eat his words as he laughed at me for buying them. Most excellent tool. A must have for ALL tool boxes. Can't praise these tools enough. I work on the road running heavy equipment. Even our mechanics were all jelly and ask me were I got them. It's so much fun when I have more bad ass tools than they do!

The good: This thing cuts bike brake and shift housing effortlessly. It feels incredibly sharp and it seems like it will last forever.The bad: At least for spiral brake housing, don't expect this to cut a flawless 90 degree edge in the housing. More often than not, part of the spiral will collapse inwards and will need to be dressed with a grinding wheel or hand file like all other cable cutters require.If you already have a decent cable cutter this isn't going to remove the step of having to dress your housing ends.

Cuts cable flawlessly! Good tools are worth their price.

I use a smaller version at work for security seals and got the larger version for home.

I recently purchased the Park Tool cable cutters from Amazon, they became unserviceable after just a few cuts! I then purchased the Felco C7 cutters, they have performed extremely well making clean straight cuts in both stainless cable and cable housing. I highly recommend the Swiss built quality of Felco, they cost more but are well worth the extra dollars for a tool that will last many years.The Chinese manufactured Park Tool cutters are now in my garbage, I was so disgusted with their performance I didn't bother returning them to Amazon. I am avoiding Park Tools from now on... so should you.

My job required the use of cable cutters on a daily basis. The company bought several types over the years and none of them performed very well. We finally got the Swiss made felco cable cutters .After literally thousands of cuts over a ten year period cutting 0.2 and larger cables they still perform as new with minimal effort! !!! Don't waste your money on others as this is the last pair you will have to buy.
