My first time cutting or laying tiles. Went in roughly knowing what I needed to do and this tile cutter made the first step super satisfactory. I was positively beaming with how well all my tiles cut. I was cutting porcelain outdoor mosaic tiles (Victorian-style) so each 'tile' was made up of 6 rows of smaller tiles. No tiles wasted! All cut very very well. Super easy and self explanatory to use. Obviously just bear in mind that this will only do straight line cuts. I had to cut a few tiles back a few mm and these cuts were trickier. Best results need at least 1cm of tile on each side of the cut line.

I like this brand. I've never cut tiles before but worked well and only cracked a few (ones that I tried cutting too close to the edge). For the price, it's good for smaller areas!

Excellent tool, easy to use

Hi. I've had the cutter for a while and only went to use it today. The machine looks ok, but when I cut the first tile I noticed a slight outward bevel on the cut edge which, of course, would not allow the tile to butt up against another tile or spacer.When I checked, I found that the ridge (can be seen clearly in ad pics) that sits between the foam pads you rest the tile on was raised slightly. i.e. Its slightly proud of the pads and the tile rocks. I hadn't noticed till I'd started cutting. The machine still cuts (not very cleanly) but I've had 6 months before using so can't send it back.Just a warning to check it out thoroughly before you decide to keep it.
