Best Writing Workbook out there
My 11 year old son has a learning disability called dysgraphia (Disorder of Written Expression) The words get all jumbled up in his head and he is unable to construct a proper paragraph. I have tried SO MANY PROGRAMS to no avail. This particular workbook starts at the foundation- writing good sentences. That's Part 1. In Part 2, they begin to write paragraphs and teach about different types of paragraphs. My son is actually flourishing with this. DON'T SKIP PART ONE. I know you might be tempted, even if your kid can write stellar sentences, it will boost his confidence to produce them for you. For my fellow homeschoolers: This is an amazing, simple and inexpensive way to teach your children how to write good sentences and good paragraphs. I'm in year 6 of homeschooling my son and I have wasted so much money on janky programs/workbooks. This one actually works. My son also has ADHD, so we can only do one worksheet a day...and he usually begs to stop in the middle. But we don't. Anyways, great workbook- love it.

Very step by step, good one
I homeschool, this is a great resource. Totally worth it, I'm buying more for my younger ones.

Excellent resource
I teach a 6th grade writing class for homeschoolers. Most of them are on level, but need some help going back to basics and redefining what makes a paragraph, what makes a well- stitched together piece of writing, and how to formulate effective sentences. This book is excellent. I’ve already highlighted so many pages. I love their lesson suggestion pages. I’m a certified teacher and feel confident to create my own lessons, but I still enjoy reading how they would design and implement lessons. It is a terrific resource and I’m so happy to have found it! I ordered 8 writing books and this one is a gold mine! I’m probably going to return the other 7! Highly recommend. I would even recommend to parents to help their kids with writing at home. The organizers would be amazing to help students formulate ideas.

Need a teacher/ parent / helper / assessor
The structure of the book needs a review. Some of the chapters are definitely disordered. Also, the book is missing colourful pages and and favourites, it does not attract much attention from kids. It’s a good book if someone is guiding a child through. But it is not a book to choose to study alone.

Good tool to use with a writing curriculum
My son has autism so writing has been a challenge for him. We also homeschool and use a writing curriculum. We used this to sort of do a reset and start over with sentences and paragraphs. A few things we skipped over but overall it was a useful tool to go along with everything else we are using.
