The tang was longer than most fret wire. I couldn't use it for the Alvarez I refretted. I bought this because Stew-Mac was out of the fret size I needed. I had to find another source. I'll use this for a different project.

Good wire but not the best method of cutting.
The fretwire was fine, very solid though the end cuts were very poor so considering these are 8" pieces it had to cut off a lot of fretwire therefore wasting materials. It would be so much nicer it it were in longer pieces i probably ended up having to waste nearly a foot of fretwire because the fret bender cant bend that last bit of gnarled fretwire that you end up with a lot of due to how short the pieces are to begin with. But if you can make it work its solid fretwire and will get the job done for the price. I do plan to buy more. Also use a dremel to cut and not a set of dikes otherwise your window shades get this.
