Caddy Treck, Not really worth the purchase!
I got a black instead of red my choice. I agree that the seller called me for the colour change. So that is fine.Caddy trek should have been better designed.1. Over priced for the utility you get on the device.2.You have to bend down to switch on and off to operate it manually, which I have to do most of the time due to rough terrain.3.It should have typical electronic control & information display like, Pace of walk, Distance covered calories burned compass or even score scoring or more to make the purchase worth the price. The control should be on the high push bar.4. It is too heavy for comparative electronic caddies I have. (the battery is very light, so why the heavy weight?)5. The hinge locks are poorly designed: You have to turn the knobs several times to tighten.6. The hinge locks are almost bad in 1 week due to not locking it so tightly. You need big muscles to tighten and prevent damage. A simple latch lock would do better!7. One tyre is noisier than the other. It hums as it moves. It's getting more quiet with time.8. The pace of the follow mode is low for very fast players.9. Battery cover need stronger magnet lock.10.Remote control should be charged by main battery which is really strong and impressive as is covers 36 holes in my golf club, main battery should house remote control unit too for good storage.11. It is a bit of a distraction controlling by remote and to remember where my last golf ball is.12. It distracts also in follow mode as you have to look back all the time to be sure it is still following you.2016 JUNE UPDATEI have used the Caddy trek for 2yrs now and I still regret the purchase.I strongly don't recommend anyone buying this.Reasons:1. I had to pay high price $45? for the update cable (ordinary PC - USB type). Why do i have to pay more to update a product not properly designed to serve the buyer. The manufacturer just thinks they can exploit the buyers like Microsoft by asking us to buy updates for a Golf Cart or trolley. Maybe I will have to pay for tyre update soon.Downloading the update online was hell too. I had to get help from the support team.2. Good side: The Update made Caddytrek to move faster in front and in follow mode.3. Main Battery terminal caused me so much pain as the cart would suddenly disconnect. I solve the problem when I replaced the connector with my cheap RC planes male and female battery connectors. 4. The joint locks are all damaged and I will not buy a replacement plastic parts, they were made so that you wont enjoy the trolley. I am sure the spares will not be better.I am designing an alternative holding piece so that I can at least use what I paid for!.5. The 5th wheel is broken at the plastic area. I just drilled in a vertical bolt and not to hold it together.6. I suggest bigger wheels will be better at holding on different terrains, it looses grip easily as it is now.7. I will not recommend Caddytrek. Powerbug Sport X is a far better, cheaper and thoughtfully designed cart. I have one that is 70% cheaper and 7yrs old but getting stronger!.
