I don't recommend this book as I find it rather disappointing for my expectations. I got it to help prepare for OCM-EJA-6. The questions are no where near the real exam quality. I took the real exam and passed but it was much more difficult compared to what has been reflected in this book. What I find is, some questions are derived from a sentence from a JSR (usually from the first few pages), some corresponds to exact wording in Mark Cade and Humphrey Sheil book (Chapter 2) and so on.The answers are often can be guessed because of the wording, some questions are wrong as their answers are answering the opposite of what the question asks (i.e. advantages is asked and disadvantages was the correct choice in answer) and there are grammar errors which makes the book look like it has not been reviewed before publishing.I find the assignment part very weak. It has way less details compared to Mark Cade and Humphrey Sheil book.In my opinion this book does not reflect the real exam so, be keep in mind if you decide to buy.

Poor
Generally I didn't get the impression that the author has a deep understanding of the topic - the Mark Cade and Rod Johnson books are much richer. There are very poor explanations of answers.. generally the book will say, A matches the answer, B,C and D are incorrect, even though perhaps A is just "better" than B. Often an answer can be guessed, when a question requires a positive answer, and there are two negatives say. There are many grammatical errors. The assignment and essay sections are thin.

advise
The book is ok meets its objectives, I would recommend giving the answers more explanation and not repeat them and leave the explanation as short.

Good, but Dated
This info is a bit dated in places. It is all-quiz, straight through, and worth doing for the test. I have to make this disclaimer: I have not tried the OCMJEA proctored test since reading this. But, there is some extra stuff in this book you won't need, and some of the newer stuff is not in there.

A very good book
I've recently successfully passed the OCMEA (former SCEA) certification. The book from Amritendu De is worth to have and read to be well prepared. The examination questions for part I of the cert.path in this book are very relevant to ones included in the real exam. The answers with detailed explanations are big plus.Parts II and III are illustrated with some simplified example (the project and essay questions). It gives a good illustration for what to expect on the real exam.My respect and thanks to the author for that very useful book!

Excellent book!!, I recommend this book
Second review.I have passed my OCMJEA. I got a score of 147. This book is very helpful. I got very clear ideas for exam II and exam III. I recommend this book.Let me say that the explanation of each question is the same as pass*sure, selft*stsoftware. This is an excellent practice guide.First Review. This is an excellent book, I don't found another book with the latest updates about this certification. This book is very helpful for the second and third exam.

Not worth buying
I brought this book a month back, thinking should be good book for SCEA but it failed on my expectation. He has covered 300 Question on Exam that is not sufficient.

Very useful book
I found this book extremely useful. Excellent book to clear your concept. I used this book for part-1 and going to use for part-2 and part-3. I would be highly recomment this book.

Too bad
I'm not comfortable in complaining and I'm sorry about that, but this is too much. Very poor quality, lots of mistakes, misleading or obvious questions. Then, what is the point in repeating answers in the response section? And what about the unreasonably large font size? It could be contained in 50 pages. Trees should complain too.Furthermore it is based on jee5 version of the exams: outdated practice book (jee5) of an outdated exams (jee6). jee7 is already 3 years old.

Not for OCMJEA6. It caters to old exam OCMJEA5. Poor content. Does not justify the high price.
Not up to the mark.I had high hopes from this book. First of all it caters to the old exam OCMJEA5 and not the latest exam OCMJEA6. Even then it's over priced for its content. The book first mentions an objective and then presents some multiple choice questions on it. Then very disappointingly, in answer section, it repeats the objectives and full text of questions along with answers and their explanation.Benefits and drawbacks type of questions are so dim witted that you can guess correct answers for benefit-type-questions by just selecting the answers having positive-meaning English language words like (enhances, increases etc) and your answer will be 99% correct.Poor.

Worst book I have ever read
Just got the book yesterday. Here are some facts:- There are average 22 lines per page, maximum 15 words per line. In 50% cases just one or two words per line. That's the least words I have ever seen.- There are 300 questions and their solutions. The questions are REPEATED in the solutions, which make 90% of the book.- There are at least 20 errors in the first 50 pages.- In 90% of the answers: the explanation repeats the question and the correct answer in the first line, then explains the reason in second line, then repeat the correct answer AGAIN, and finally says something like "Other options are in correct because they are not relevant".- Some Questions and answers are not convincing. For example,"Due to increase in marketing campaigns the volume of users doubles every year for the next 5 years. Which non-functional requirement is described?A. ScalabilityB. AvailabilityC. ReliabilityD. PerformanceAnswer: AExplanation: The non-functional requirement described is scalability which signifies how the system responds to additional demand. Hence option A is correct. The options B, C and D are incorrect as they are not relevant to the business scenario."I could argue this is a performance or reliability requirement. After all, I don't feel this book is worth $40 at all. I'll return it.

I wonder if the author understood the topic
The book contains many multiple choise questions. The answers together with the questions are found at the end of the book and includes the reasons.First, some answer seems to be just not correct (at least without much more context which is not provided).Second, the resons are follow the template "Answer A is correct because it matches the question, Answer B is not correct because it does not fit to the question".Such reasons are in most cases not helpful. What is missing is a good explaination of the a answer for exmaple by referring to the definition and for topic with several examples. But all these things are not found and either the author was too lazy to provide this or (based on the questionable answer) did not understood the topic himself but simply compied the answer from somewhere. This book might help you to pass the test but the knowledge you get with this book is close to zero.
