Great pickup
I was upgrading my daughters telecaster and since she is into heavy rock music we decided to go with the Hot Rails. First off, if you want to keep the tele twang, this is not the pickup for you. However, this pickup does have very nice cleans and if you roll the volume a bit it can be a pretty sweet pickup. Where this pickup really shines though is on your OD channel. I play through a Blackstar HT-5 and this guy can really scream for such a narrow pickup. It really picks up your playing style and squealies are no problem now with this pickup. Also, the installation was easy as can be, the pickup fit right into the bridge with no other modifications needed. If you have a Tele that you want to rock this is a great easy solution.

Made My Tele Roar!
I have a Tele custom that had a bad hum coming from the lead pickup(big surprise), and for my taste the sound was a little thin. I put this pickup in and it quieted down a bit and now the guitar roars like a Paul, but still has a hint of twang to it.Very pleased with the sound improvement.

Awesome pickup if you want to change your "Tele" sound.
Crazy how good this sounds. I thought there would be compromises because of the tele single coil form factor, but this thing sounds sweet. Warning, If you like vintage sound, don't buy this. This changes the tone completely to a more modern sound, which is what I wanted.Build quality is amazing. Just holding the thing in your hands you can see it was built/designed with care. The leads are sleeved to protect the wires and the solder points look great. Much better than the Dimarzio I bought along with it.

You may need a bigger amp
Holy smokes! If you want your Tele to shred, this is the way to go! I left my neck single coil in place so I can have that old Tele sound, but this in the bridge... Just wow. I put this in my '96 Mexican Tele and it's a whole new guitar. It kicks the hell out of the stock humbuckers I have in my other two electrics (a Washburn A5B, and a Jackson Flying V - to be honest, I don't even know what the stock pickups are in those). But this hotrail makes me want to upgrade everything! I may end up getting one for the neck anyway and just retrofit a switch to split the coils if I want a thinner sound.

Hot!
Put it in my telecaster and also a push/pull pot to split. CPS 500k.What a great sound! You can back it off and split it and get twanging sounds, plug in to some effects and get dreamy lush bell like tones, push the pot down for full bore and I’m getting screams out of my amp! Great harmonics and tone. Highly recommend to players who like a full spectrum of sound options

I love it. The only problem is my guitar tech ...
This pickup sounds phenomenal. I love it. The only problem is my guitar tech had to grind away some of the bridge plate to get it to fit in my Telecaster. Not a huge deal, but be aware of this. It will not fit as-is in the stock Telecaster bridge plate.

An excellent replacement
I had a problem with a bridge pickup that had way to much bite, no matter how I tweaked the poles and height. This was the answer to that problem. Turned an iffy sounding guitar into on of my favorites. Just the right balance of volume and tone with the HB at the neck. Great for rhythm, lead, and pairing, T Stelma, author of Cole Bay Band.

Great Pickup!
I put this in my American Special, and am glad I did. I have always been a Seymour Duncan fan and their pups usually find their way into my guitars. This is just one more in a long line of great ones.
