Ultimate Spider-Man: Avenging Spider-Man

Loved it,if you like Spider-Man you will love this.

Discs are more scratched than I would like.However they play well. Thank you.

The DVD set came a little earlier than I expected it to arrive. I didn't realize that it was used, but the disks appear to be in excellent condition. I put the first disk inside the player. It worked beautifully. I haven't tried the second disk yet, but so far, I'm very happy with this purchase. Wow!

Received the item and it was oddly sealed and when I opened it, it was empty!! I sent it right back!

I was sad this was the only part of the long series that came to DVD. A great Spiderman story.

I will start by saying I loved the Spectacular Spiderman series. I wasn't in love with this series at all but I bought it for my Spiderman-obsessed son. If I had reviewed this DVD when we first bought it three months ago I might have written a review that said it did not live up to Spectacular Spiderman but now I will say that this series is almost as good. This series is definitely appropriate for a younger audience. The voice talent is excellent. The stories are easy to get into when you are watching it with a young Spiderman fan. If I saw this series as a kid, I would have loved it and waited for every new episode just like my son does. So for Mom and son movie nights we watch Ultimate Spiderman most of the time and Spectacular Spiderman the rest of the time.If you are a purist you won't like it. Spiderman is part of a team (though he goes off on his own a lot), he has gadgets, he doesn't work for J Jonah Jameson, Aunt May is a younger, hipper version of herself, and Spiderman himself is an agent of SHIELD and goes to training/school to learn to be the Ultimate Spiderman. The Avengers make guest appearances on a fairly regular basis. It is Spiderman as a part of the Avenger world which isn't that bad of a concept if you approach it with an open mind and with the heart of a child.

We are a lover of Super Heroes in our house, the boys love it and I really don't mind sitting and watching it with them. It has great story lines and even throws in some good old fashion values too.

love spider=man,so when this cartoon came out,i just had to buy it and the actors for the voices are well chosen the stories are awesome too.i recommend this for any spider-man fan weather your adult or kid

One of the best spiderman shows out there. It combines the action of the old spiderman and the comedy of today.

Spectacular Spiderman the animated series, arguably the best Marvel animated series to-date, was cancelled in mid-season with a cliff-hangar ending, supposedly to make way for this new " Ultimate SM" series. What a total disappointment. No character development; no adult plots; no drama; lame/juvenile humor and too much of it; no attention paid to the source material. I guess real comic book fans will just just have to stick to the DC feature films and hope Bruce Timm makes another series because, with the exception of Avengers EMH, Marvel has yet to produce and complete a decent animated series.
