The New York Times Sunday Crossword Puzzles Volume 40: 50 Sunday Puzzles from the Pages of The New York Times

Wonderfully varied and stimulating as is every NY Times Sunday crossword puzzle book. I just wish there was less focus on sports in their puzzles -- there are many of us, especially women, who have no interest in or familiarity with sports and it always makes me feel as if there's a gender bias in creating these puzzles...made by men for men. I often think that if I see one more football, baseball, or basketball question I'm going to fling the book out the window.

As a native New Yorker, I've been addicted to the NYT crosswords for more years than I care to count.The puzzles in this book are hard enough to give my brain a workout but most were solvable without referring to the answer pages. My only complaint is that the typeface is too darned small. Yeah, I'm no kid and I do wear glasses, but I've never had issues with standard typefaces, including that used in the actual NYT puzzles.

I love these puzzles . They are challenging and interesting. I have found a few that didn't make any sense to me but as long as I ignored the circled squares and didn't try to figure out why they were circled the puzzle was okay. I like the fifty puzzle size book as it is easier to work with than the larger books. I have been working the NYT Sunday Crosswords for several years and will continue as long as continue printing them.

No one comes close to the Sunday New York Times in consistently producing challenging and interesting crosswords. However, the type for the clues is too small for many people to read easily-- there must be some way to increase the size, if only by a small amount. If that day ever comes, I will rate these collections 5 stars!

Been using a Cap washer for 20 years. It finally came apart. I ordered this one to replace my old one and I'm very satisfied! This one is built MUCH, MUCH, better. A quality product. It made my old cap look new again.

NYT Sunday Times puzzles. The best. Unfortunately UPS, for no reason, took 7 days for 3 day shipping, so arrived late for Christmas: minus 1 Star.

Great, but beware! 35 of 50 puzzles are the same as in NYT Smart Sunday #4. (apple on cover). Don't buy them together like me.

I love the spiral binding-it makes working the puzzles easier, and less bulky than they would be with traditional binding. Puzzles are challenging, but not too much to make me want to give up!

You'd have to have superpowers to read the clues in this puzzle book! I ordered this book, and two others, to pass the time while recuperating from surgery. Even with reading glasses, I can barely read the clues, they're so tiny!
