Gneiss Spice jars are NICE!
Painters have palettes. Cooks have spice racks.I finally did it. After having the Gneiss Spice DIY magnetic hexagonal spice jars on my Amazon wish list for three years and almost pulling the trigger several times, I finally did it. So glad I did! Instead of rummaging through a forest of spices trying to find something (and usually knocking something breakable onto the floor in the process), I now have everything I need on the side of the fridge and easy to find. And it is SO pretty! I got the 24 pack and had a lot of fun filling and labeling them. I can now keep the "filler" jars in a tidy box in the cabinet and have everything I use right next to me on the fridge. I need another 24, though! Would make a nice Christmas gift for me! Yes, you can buy the hexagonal jars yourself, but good luck finding black lids (which is what I wanted) and the magnets. Yes, I looked. I also hesitated because some reviewers complained that the jars were too small. Pish posh! No, you won't be able to completely empty a typical jar of spice into them--but they are not tiny. They hold plenty of spice--and you don't have to rummage around for them. I don't mind keeping the leftovers in a tidy box in the cabinet. The company also makes a large jar, but the smaller ones seem more aesthetic to me. I looked at several other magnetic spice containers, and all had serious flaws or just looked too industrial. These are beautiful and functional. Wish I hadn't waited to so long to buy them!

Clever magnetic spice jars
I love these spice jars: they look so earthy and interesting and are making my life in the kitchen easier without crowding my sacred countertop space. They are dishwasher safe and there is a stainless steel cap between the magnets and the spices. This means that the spices don't come in direct contact with the magnets. The caps can be removed along with the magnets for washing. These must be hand wash and the whole process of removing magnets and hand-washing the 24 caps took some time but It was all worth it. I must say that I don't recommend using this set as your only spice organizer because you will need something bigger for larger spices. I also own a very inexpensive set of 12 classic jars that I use along with this one and I recommend for spices that need a shaker top for seasoning or are too bulky to fit into little jars like vanilla or cinnamon sticks. The other set cost me around $11 on amazon & I keep it in a cabinet door rack directly below the fridge where I keep these jars. It all works really well. This product is a quality item, was pack very well and came with labels for spices that aren't so common like anatto and adobo. Yes, it is a little pricey but after considering the cost of buying jars, magnets, labels and the possibility of jars that wouldn't stick to my fridge I decided to save me the trouble. Yes, the jars are small but I don't know of anything else that let you stick dozens of spices to your fridge without taking too much space and looks like art. I might be buying more soon! I'm giving them 5 stars for a great idea very well executed.

Definitely buy these despite my sarcastic review!
I love these! They stick to the side of my fridge and although I probably could put the name of the spices on the clear side, it doesn't look like the stickers that come with it are made for that, so sometimes I have to pull three or four of 'em off the fridge to find what I'm looking for. Is this oregano or tarragon? Who knows! It's on the lid, which is face-down on the side of the fridge! It's like a spice-safari every time I cook! And since I cook with too-high heat most of the time, sometimes it's time sensitive and I'm freaking out trying to find the spice I need before my omelette burns and god help me if I don't pick literally every single one of these god-forsaken things off of the fridge before I get to the one I need and now my omelette is spongy and a little browned around the edges, but that's fine because we're still having fun!On a serious note, these are beautiful. I love them and may eventually write the names of the spices on the clear side of the jars. I'd really recommend these, especially if you have an easily accessible fridge surface. They look great and function as magnets to hold stuff in a pinch. You could probably make them yourself with the right stuff and for much cheaper than $80, but this is a product whose quality I was pleasantly surprised with so I don't feel bad that I didn't take a DIY approach.

Perfect
This product is absolutely perfect for any cook. I recently moved to a house with a lot less storage space in the kitchen. I started looking for alternate kitchen storage, including a way to make my herbs and spices easily accessible. I love my spices and lost nearly 30 bottles of spice and herbs to moisture so I was looking for something sturdy that closed securely. Looking at reviews of similar products, I noticed some people had problems with lids not closing securely. Looking at the Gneiss Spice reviews there did not seem to be any problems with them not closing securely. I also loved the shape of the bottles and the way they can be arranged. Initially the price difference put me off, but the cost of replacing spices cost quite a bit more for me. I highly recommend this product for anyone.

This is anot a great problem as I don't have enough spices that I ...
I think they are neat and they got my a lot more counter space. The only problems I see is that the tables should be printed in black, not light colored, and four of the jar lid magnets are not strong enough to stick to my frig side, the others do. This is anot a great problem as I don't have enough spices that I use to fill all the jars. The other is that I had to use a marker for some of the spices as they were not standard (like Wasabe)

too small
I'm returning these because they are too small to be practical. They barely fit 3 tablespoons of spice inside and can't fit a teaspoon into the lid to measure out contents. Quality appears good, but not what I needed at all.

I love these jars so much
I love these jars so much. They're on the side of our fridge, which is right next to our stove. Perfection. The magnets are great, I don't worry about them sliding or falling off. I'm so happy I bought these, best spice rack I've ever owned.
