Truly A Win For Collectors! But What About Play-Time?
This is definitely an excellent figure when it comes to display possibilities, paint applications, sculpting, posing, and accessories for those who want to take it out of the package and show it up close. And it looks mighty good for those of us who like to keep it in its tough, protective, oh-so-pretty blister card too! While it's true that this IS a repaint of the basic, comic-inspired Batman figures that have been released in previous DC Universe Classics waves, bear in mind that we're talking about a "repaint" representing one of Batman's most well-known and valued forms from the 1989 blockbuster movie starring Michael Keaton! Now, a few other toy reviewers have been criticizing this figure for not having one of the "Collect & Connect" pieces common to the rest of his series (which come together to form the super-villain Imperiex). But speaking from a personal standpoint? There's seriously no conceivably possible way I could ever WANT an unsightly arm, leg, or torso from Hi-And-Bye-I'm-'A-Try-'N-Blow-Up-The-Universe-Bad-Guy-#456,928 taking up space in the package of what I consider to be a truly worthwhile iteration of a terrifically inspirational character! Add that to the fact that, if this figure DID come with one of those pieces, there'd be a fairly significant visual reference to the fact that the toy set you've got will always be incomplete ... unless ... y'know ... you're one of those people who decided to go ahead and buy the other SIX FIGURES in the series! That hardly sounds like the type of set-up a casual collector would find worthy of their money, and this is a fairly casual and well-recognized Batman figure. As for playability ... well ... that's a mixed bag, in my opinion. Oh, sure: this guy's durable enough to withstand some rather glorious abuse without breaking, and he can bend and twist like the contortionist that I'm sure the actual Batman character IS by now! But when I think of a figure that excels in the "play dept.", I think of something that can integrate well with a set of vehicles, playsets, other figures, and accessories for all kinds of creative adventures! Sadly, this Batman only gets high marks in his "accessories" department (and the potential to hang out with other figures of his line, of course), since nobody's gonna' be making any vehicles or playsets for a 7-inch tall action figure these days! (Nor would anyone want to foot the bill to BUY such enormous monstrosities!) Still, that batarang he comes with appears both high-tech and durable, and the Bat-Computer he's got looks like it could right-quick connect him to ... um ... the regular Internet, I guess? Again, as far as this guy's concerned, we'll never see a scale-appropriate Batcave, Batmobile, or (Pffft!) Justice League Watchtower. Still, if your kid's got a smaller set of Bat-figs with their own copious amounts of goodies already, then you'll be hard-pressed to find a better figure to represent all those times Batman gets hit with "The Dreaded Enlarging Ray ... OF DOOM!! OR ... AWESOMENESS!! OR ... SOMETHING!!"So my final verdicts are these:For the people who are likely to pick this figure up as a collectible, it's nigh-on close to perfect! For anybody who wants this as an actual "toy", it's got some definite-but-limited possibilities.

Amazingly Articulate Toy For Wonderful Playability
I strongly disagree with the reviewer who said this toy wasn't good for kids. This is the ultimate Batman toy, DESIGNED to be played with. It's durable and features an incredible 23 points of articulation. Sometimes articulation makes a toy easy to break, but this toy is surprisingly rugged. Not that it wouldn't break if you hit it with a hammer or ran over it in the driveway, but it will certainly take a beating. It comes with a base and two small parts (a batarang and a bat computer, which are probably the two parts that SHOULD NOT be given to children.)For collectors, this is also a pretty nice-looking toy. Though not as well-painted or as stunningly crafted as the Arkham Asylum figure DC Direct Batman: Arkham Asylum Series 1: Batman Action Figure or even Jim Lee's Batman Batman Hush Series 1: Batman Action Figure , it still looks good standing alongside other figures of the Batman family.

AWESOME Batman action figure, its like Michael keaton and kevin conroys "ANIMATED BATMAN " had a baby batman and this is result
Love this action figure. reminds me of when i was 5 in 1990 and the keaton batman films mixed with a conroy voiced batman, and the batarang and computer is awesome too, GET IT, if you can... while its under 30 bucks. specially for a wal mart exclusive... too bad the joker isnt this cheap :(

Great for A Superhero fan.
Purchased this for my son who is 4 and he loved it. If you have someone that loves characters this is one that holds up well to a 4 yr. old playing with it.

Batman costume
Just like about any costume, not the greatest but ok for a boy wanting to dress up one night with it.

Good for collectors, not for 3 year olds, my mistake
This toy is fine for a collector or an adult who enjoys batman, I bought it for a christmas present for our 3-year-old nephew. It's cool and served the purpose of having a "new" batman- but its more adult friendly than kid friendly
