sturdy. Hose material seems like it will last
Unit seems well-built, sturdy. Hose material seems like it will last. Well I've only had it installed and working for about a week First Impressions seem like the unit should last a while. My issues with this product is 1. The instructions are practically useless that come with the unit. I had to search online and find a install video. 2. The intake tube is too long for almost any in truck fuel tanks. Pretty much only design for 55 gallon drums. So I had to cut and weld my own to make the unit work. I feel that should be designed into this product. 3. And this is my biggest issue. The pump comes from the factory with the wiring incorrect. I posted a question why this pump wasn't pulling fuel and got many many responses that the positive and negative wiring needs to be flipped. These were from other customers, the factory did not suggest this at all and said that maybe it was clogged despite the fact it was brand new. So basically the unit comes from the factory in a condition where it will not work if you set it up according to the instructions. The unit can be the best thing in the world but that is outrageously frustrating it took me a couple of weeks to find the right answer to my issue. And and with no help from the factory. Makes me wonder what else got overlooked when they made it.

Good looking quality pump
Good looking quality pump. Heavy. Suction tube is too long to fit my 45 gal tank that's 22 inches high, standard pick-up tank. Have to find an adapter that should've been included in the packaging anyway.Update. The fittings on the suction tube appear to be pressed/glued on. They are threaded and glued though. You can switch the fitting on the tubes and just use the bottom section of it's too long as mine was. I couldn't find an adapter anywhere to fit the fine threads.

You got to know what you're buying.
At first this pump worked for ten minutes, and jammed, Contacted GreatCircle, USA, they sended me the parts needed to fix it.I know, I know, could ask for a refund, but a good friend of mine, wich happens to be a chemical industrial mechanic told me this pump can be fixed, that it is reliable, He said two things" before it's first use ( break-in period), has to be primed with diesel or silicone lubricant abundantly, and before assembly of the spare parts, the rotor, inside housing and pump cover, all has to be polished".The manufacturer doesn't tell you this in it's owner's manual.I did what he told me, and the pump is working with no hassle.

Very nice pump and nozzle set!
Very nice pump and nozzle set! Unfortunately, it comes with some of the worst directions imaginable! Do yourself a favor, buy this, but only keep the directions for the parts list! Don't bother reading them! Just watch the assembly video they have posted for it down in the information section. Once you've watched the video it is very easy to assemble! Works great! I bought 2 of them, one for gas and one for diesel on the farm. So much better than a hand pump!

It does what it is supposed to do.
Edited 11/25/18: Initially the pump self primed. I use it to pump heating fuel from 55 gallon drums into a 300 gallon heating fuel tank. I switch between barrels and it's a bit of a pain to thread it in, I'm planning on buying a 2" union and nipple to make it easier. This weekend the pump stopped priming itself. I put an air hose nozzle in the 3/4" bung and packed around it with some tissue to put some positive pressure in the barrel, it only takes a little. Problem solved. Some of the people having problems in systems where they don't run the pump dry might benefit from a "foot valve". Anyway, one further thing is that the nozzle handle will no longer depress fully, but it still works and the price was good. In all I've pumped between 7 and 9 55 gallon barrels of fuel. ....Original review : I bought this for transferring oil from barrels to cabin fuel tank. It will suck a 55 gallon drum flat if you don't vent it, transfers fuel quickly. 1 complaint is wire color, it comes with black and white wire, and on mine the black wire is +. Usually black is - on 12 volt DC stuff. Yours might be different. The only other complaint is that it's a pain to switch between barrels and I usually get 2 or 3 barrels of fuel at a time. Finally, I move the "straw" down when switching barrels, to make sure it is against the bottom of the barrel. Doing that shoots fuel upwards into the face, etc. This pump is best to put on one fuel tank and then leave it. All in all a great pump for a great price. Edited 1/13/2019: I bought a 2" black Iron union and this makes switching the pump from one barrel to the other MUCH easier. My son bought the nipple, I think it's a 3" nipple, and overall it is too tall to reach the bottom of the barrel, I think it's off by 1 or 2 inches. I still like it better than not having it, and just dump the barrels out into a bucket manually if I want to get all of the fuel out. I was not able to get all of the fuel out before, anyways.

Great Quality
Excellent item for the fuel transfer use, the flow rate is high for fast transferring. The pump is heavy duty, and with all needed parts for installatoin easily. So far the pump works stable and very well.

Easy to Use
Worked well with 12 volt battery power supply. The telescoping fuel pick-up is very nice. I added a swivel for optimum fuel dispensing. Its also nice to add a fuel meter which is handy feature. Added quick disconnects to both ends of hose so that unit could be stored in original package for the winter.

Great customer service
I would recommend this pump based largely on the customer service you can expect to receive if you have any issues with it. I had an issue with my pump (internal electrical connections), but I do not expect every mechanical device to always perform flawlessly anyway. To my surprise, I was sent a replacement pump at no charge. This product is a great value, and with a seller that stands behind it like this, I can't see any reason not to purchase it.
