Felino salami is an Italian salami produced in the town of Felino (hence the name) and in some neighboring towns, as Sala Baganza, Parma and Langhirano. It is a stuffed low-fat salami PGI, produced with pork meat, typical of Emilia-Romagna. It is produced in Emilia-Romagna and also in other regions. Other regions produce a similar salami that's not being just produced in the province of Parma (where is located the town of Felino) is commonly called "tipo felino" salami. It presents a compact consistency, a red colour and a cylindrical shape; it has a sweet taste and a delicate aroma. Ideal as appetizer with Parma Ham.
