Buon Natale t.

Plugged my DVD player into my laptop, laptops no longer have DVD drives. Nothing. Hmm, well as the last CD worked ok, why wasn't this doing likewise. Turned out it didn't like the USB powered drive. No problems with anything else thank goodness, just the DVD player. Thankfully all sorted, except I discovered that as Windows Media Player can no longer be used with DVD's, I had to buy the software to be able to use it. As I said, that was fun!The songs on the CD are good ones, though I must be honest and say I prefer Christmas carols to Christmas songs. Yes there is a difference, the former have been sung for 100 years or more, while songs are a much more recent invention, aka 1940's and later. Due to all the 'fun' of sorting out the DVD player, I haven't watched more than the first two. I will save the rest for when my nerves have settled down. Il Volo were quite young when this album was recorded, their voices and mannerisms have changed since then, their English, especially Gianluca, have improved too, not such a heavy accent.Well worth the price for both the CD and the DVD, despite the hiccup with my player. I am now looking forward to the Morricone CD due out early in November. There is supposed to be a video as well, hope that isn't going to be just for the American market. Having bought the 10th anniversary CD I hope there will be a DVD for that as well, though probably too much to hope for I guess.The DVD is region 0, so will work in any part of the world.
