Banshee: Season 4 [Blu-ray] [2016] [Region Free]

Banshee along with "Spartacus" and "Game Of thrones" is the greatest(of the series i have watched) to have been made.Like"Spartacus" its a mixture of extremely violent action and sex,and like"Game Of Thrones" character exploration is exemplary.This is the final season and is considerably darker,verging on horror,than Season 3 and at 8 episodes is 2 shorter than previous seasons.I usually find stories told through flashbacks annoying but it is done surprisingly well(and quickly)here.This season sees Hood returning to Banshee after an 18 month self-imposed exile(sulk)to investigate the presence of a vicious serial killer in the town.Each episode is packed with incident and action and without spoiling anything issues remaining from season 3 are dealt with and the whole thing comes to a satisfying conclusion.Part of me wishes for more but for a series to leave on a high is most commendable.

This was a great series & this final series was not disappointing , I saw the other three series when I was with sky & now I'm not it took me quite a long time to buy the fourth & I'm so glad I did if vialance sex scenes bad language don't fit into your watching then you won't like this , but if it dose not bother you you will love it , a great watch .

Eighteen months have passed, ruthless mobster Proctor now Banshee's mayor - new Sheriff Brock Lotus thus with even more problems to face. As though a serial killer, Satanists, neo-Nazis, massive drug trafficking were not enough! Re-enter his predecessor Lucas Hood - he looking like a tramp, so traumatized was he by the finale of Season 3. Will he still have an important part to play in ridding Banshee of its undesirables?You bet he will. There has been a shock start - Proctor's niece Rebecca discovered with her heart cut out. This final season takes the form of a whodunnit with revealing flashbacks, eventual unmasking of the culprit likely to surprise.The series remains uncompromising, with violence in plenty. Throughout the great worry is that some of the more likeable characters may perish: Lucas himself (he with that great secret); formidable Carrie (not to be underestimated); Kurt (his life in the balance for daring to quit the Nazis and join the police); Sugar (ever wise and dispensing free drinks, his bar always so curiously empty). What too of Job (charismatic and very funny) - did he really die?Eight episodes - two with commentaries, all with interesting background features. For obvious reasons,the Disc 1 Season 3 recap is best seen first of all. Ditto the "Banshee Origins", which may intrigue. Disc 4 contains bonuses on favourite fights (so many from which to choose) and on Job's wardrobe.Overall? A raw, savage series. Season 1 proved too much for me, but I persevered and steadily became climatized - unashamedly cheering when certain characters at long last got their comeuppance. Yes, in this final series it mattered a lot who would perish and who would survive. Many fans will emerge well pleased. For me, just one reservation. Surely that Amish community deserved a better deal?Cult viewing for those fascinated when television so arrestingly extends the boundaries.

I am now in mourning having just finished season 4, watching the last frame made me want to watch it all again from the beginning ( which I will probably do) This finale tied up all the loose ends perfectly and everyone got their due be it good or bad. I am so going to miss you Lucas Hood or should I say @@@@ ; )

Good series another great season to finish it off.

Banshee is a rare thing. It got better as it went on. This is the final season and if you have watched the others then I would recommend getting it as it does round the story off.After a shaky first season I really enjoyed this series. Sad it has ended but with the 4th Season it was done well.

I came across some clips of this series on YouTube and went the proverbial 'wow'. All 4 seasons are excellent get the lot and you wont go far wrong. Word of warning to the sensitive though, the violence is extreme at times and there is a fair amount of sex in it.

Once again a gift to my brother-in-law in Texas they love it they watched it twice maybe three times but make sure you get the American version First go-around I got a Canadian version for less money didn't work

I didn't know this was not playable on U.S and Canadian bluray dvd players. Now I'm stuck with something I can't watch. How do I return it?
