Powerhub PH1200 Battery for iPhone 4/4S - Retail Packaging - Black

I only wish I could USE my devices while it's charging on this unit, but the instructions specifically say not to do that. So I just plug it in on the go to get my devices charged when there's no plug in sight. I will try to update later with more useful info about how long it takes to charge something - and whether it provides a full charge - and to what devices.Nov 2013 update:Still have it and it still works - but I don't have updated details about how long it takes to charge because I ended up getting a marine battery and power inverter... it works best! And we can use the devices while charging. Still, this unit is packable - marine battery is not. So this is still useful for other types of travel where it may not be easy to get to a power source.

It was wonderful, on a recent trip to Europe, where I didn't have electrical power, ie, on a plane, also when in airports waiting for a plane..

I bought this for travel purposes, but I was dissapointed to find it came with a huge wall adaptor and cann be itself charged via USB (like some other models). I'll be returning this as I dont want to lug a big power adaptor around with me!

I don't own the product.The fact that it can charge a Transformer caught my eye. Unfortunately, this only seems to do the 5W USB2 power, which will charge the Transformer. But it will trickle charge it. A transformer needs 15V 1.2A which a USB 3.0 plug is capable of providing. This has from the description "Two USB 2.0 Ports: 5V, 1A and 5V, 2.1A".

During the warmer months, I earn a little extra money on the weekends doing yard work. Surprisingly enough, I actually get a LOT of calls while I'm working, and can't leave my phone in the truck to charge. This power hub has been great, fits in my cargo pocket with minimal annoyance, and with this back-up... I can use the phone for music while I work too. Great investment!

Long car trips with the family are a whole lot easier with this powerhub. Before, there just were not enough 12-Volt outlets in the van for the power-hungry devices everybody brings with them. Now, with the serious power storage of this thing and dual USB outputs, they can charge up as necessary, and leave me to my driving.
