Plugged in and worked straight out of the box
Recently bought a Windows 10 built PC on Amazon. Have had no end of problems with the sound (driver dropping, a known issue with Win10 apparently). Plugged this little baby in and presto .. headphones & mic worked (x-box headphones). For the sake of a few quid v’s constant messing about with drivers and troubleshooting, worth every penny.

No background noise
The soundcard of my laptop was faulty. I was using a dock station and (a high-end) monitor's audio plug for my headphone. I wanted to extend the cable of my headphone because both two solutions were not enough for me. Instead of buying a long cable, I purchased this to use with my USB hub. Sound quality is great, there is no background noise (which is the case with my monitor and the dock station).It works with Linux/Ubuntu operating system.It works well iPhone earplug (that has mic) and Sony WH-1000XM3 (that has no mic)

Great piece of kit but BEWARE!
Upon buying this product I realised I bought the wrong thing... if you are looking to use your Xbox headset on PC then this isn’t the product for you like I assumed, look for something that splits the 3.5mm jack into a seperate headphone and mic connector...However I can’t just give this product a bad review because I ordered the wrong item, overall it’s well made, well packaged, and easy to use, given it was quite cheap I’m going to hold onto it instead of returning it, may come in handy in the future! 👍

Sounds great
Works flawlessly out of the box on win 10 and 11 systems. Now I'm no audiophile but it sounds really good over speakers or headphones, music, movies and gaming. All win in my book. Top vfm

Absolutely FINE
Decent build quality, does exactly what it says it will do. If you want a headphone jack that's powered by USB on your PC this does exactly that. Works in Windows and Linux no problem. Microphones work too.It's honestly fine.

Good piece of kit but description slightly misleading
This adaptor works very well as a headphone adaptor but the description mentions it has microphone jack. That is what I needed. Sadly the reference to microphone refers to the type of socket (3.5mm jack); it does not mean that you can connect a microphone. Probably my error in misinterpreting the description but be careful before buying this - it won't work as a mic to USB input.

It works but got issues
The sound and mic work, however my microphone sounds like a helicopter through this adapter. I dont know how to stop this weird noise coming from it. if computers just came with this stupid jack in the first place i wouldnt need to buy this.

Works just fine with my Brennan BB1
Bought this so that I could hook my Brennan BB1 up to my old valve amp to play through it.Piece of cake to set up and sounds just grand - it may not be state of the art kit, but it works just fine for my purposes.
