Works well.
$50 to replace an S7 active after 3 years. Works great. I don't faceygooglesnapspace in any way so this review probably doesn't count for 99% of the human population, but for a phone, internet and music tool it's awesome. Rooting has thus far been unsuccessful running root scripts from an ADB terminal on MX Linux, but the only real reason I want root on this device is to remove Facebook and all associated programs. They are hard installed which irritates me for various personal reasons but that seems the norm on everything these days. It doesn't process like a desktop computer but it doesn't exhibit any issues running maps and music on network data streams simultaneously while receiving an onslaught of hateful angry text messages from my wife. I don't miss anything about the S7 and at this price haven't got a single complaint yet.

Metro PCS Phone Unlocked but no OTA updates.
I wanted an unlocked phone that I could use with Mintmobile. It works but instantly wanted to install software updates to get the new Android version. Great! Download files but will not allow the update due to error "....has unexpected contents" when verifying current version. No unlock code given with phone. My particular phone was bought from DAC enterprises.

Excellent
My Ipod home button tapped out so I looked for a replacement. $200? No thanks. I got this for less than a hundred and it loads all the apps I need. They all work flawlessly. This was a good buy for me.

Meh, best for the price overall (Customer Service Update)
Final Update: in conclusion ZTE does not stand behind their product or their “good customer service” af are making me wait 2-3 days for another call back their “solution” was to make me drive to a metro pcs store and that they would fix the issue with the locked phone... all the while refusing to acknowledge that THEY SENT ME A LOCKED PHONE AFTER I AENT IN A UNLOCKED ONE. I argued with the representative about properly replacing the phone but they refuse stating “this is all we can do”.To wrap up here is what you should know. Yes it’s a cheap phone, but once you buy it your all on your own. They WILL NOT stand behind any issues and defer to lying and redirecting you to other services to get help. It’s not even a paid option they straight up will not fix the problem or refund you the cost or replace it! This is after they lied to me and sent me a refurbished unit instead of the one I bought. I will be taking to up to the BBB as they “do not have a corporate contact...” which I know is bs.So yeah if you must then it is a cheap android phone. But don’t go crying if it breaks, even under warranty, even with amazon on my side at the end ZTE will refuse to work with you.Update: I removed the original rating because the customer service is awful. To give context, the phone screen broke and no longer displayed anything, since the phone was still <a year old I contacted ZTE to fix. Not only did they require myself to pay for shipping the device, they also waited 2 weeks before returning it. In addition, the device was not even the original one. Instead of informing me they were replacing the phone, they sent a REFURBISHED phone locked under Metro PCS. I do not have metro and despite talking to their team cannot unlock it for Mint Mobile. Now I am stuck waiting on ZTE support to give me a call back... I will update as I get more info, but since the support for buying their product has been garbage, I cannot recommend this to anyone...To start I do have bad cell service in my home, so when I bought this for my GF i figured it would be fine at the least despite my cruddy and cheap cell plan.Overall the phone is solid and seems well built. The OS on the phone seems alright, a little slow vs others but not bad. Nothing really bad except the cellular signal. For whatever reason my phone has very VERY cruddy reception on cellular, I have an Iphone6 and its fine, same dead spots in the home. The ZTE is worse and drops out twice as often indoors. Outdoors the reception is fair.If you have home WiFi this phone should work, I still have trouble enabling WiFi calling but that's just me I think. This was to replace a phone that lost its life due to fall damage. I wouldn't trust it as a "reliable" phone. I would suggest buying a Samsung if you want reliable.

Very Basic
Got this as a temporary while my Moto X was in for warranty repair. It served the purpose of being able to call and text, but I wouldn't want to have it a s my regular phone. To unlock the screen, you have to hold an on screen button for 2-3 seconds, then put your unlock code. I had been taking the fingerprint reader on my Moto X for granted before this. Works OK on apps once you get into it. It was preloaded with Metro PCS apps and adverts but worked on ATT.
