RIPOFF
This is the second cover I have purchased from In the Swim and will be my last. DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT buy their covers. I had the last one a little over two years and the bubbles started coming off. Doesn't work without the bubbles. This time I contacted them and they claimed I did not balance my pool or had it stored out of the water which caused the problem. Sorry, but not true. I am a Certified Pool Operator and keep records of my readings and my pool is always in balance. I sent them pictures and their response was the bubbles are not covered, which is like saying you can buy a car but the steering wheel is optional. I have read other reviews saying they had the same experience and the same claims from In the Swim. If what makes the thing work in the first place is not covered and fails, you have no recourse. I will never, and repeat never buy another thing from them and this is a ripoff. Why give this great warranty if what fails the most and what is the weakest point of the cover is not covered, why give a warranty at all. If I could have given zero stars, I would have.

One Star
Beware! This lasted less than 2 years and the warranty is a joke. When I contacted In the Swim to get a full replacement under warranty, they responded with this email:================================================The warranty does not cover the following:•Bubble Damage: This occurs when the bubbles on the solar cover start to fall off. The most common reasons for this is a chemical problem and often caused from the pool water not being properly balanced; putting Solar Cover on pool too soon after shocking or chemicals sitting on the cover while it is on a solar reel.•Fading or color bleaching out.•Tears, rips, cracks, or cuts•Damages caused by exposing the solar cover to the sun while removed from the pool (improper storage).•Damage caused by misuse, weather or animals. The warranty only covers true seam separation and delamination. Please send in more photos, if you are experiencing either of these situations.================================================Look at all the complaints! These solar covers don't fail from " true seam separation and delamination". They fail from disintegration, which they blame on you because they claim this can only occur through misuse by not removing the cover when you shock the pool.

It's an evaporation cover
People really need to stop buying marketing BS. This is an evaporation cover. It stops you from having to fill your pool on a daily basis because of evaporation should you live in the South or should you heat your pool.Second, it is a piece of bubble wrap and it will last about as long. You want something that lasts longer? Get a bunch of pool noodles and a very large tarp. then tie or weigh down the edges. Quit complaining that you have to buy these on a yearly basis because the Sun breaks down plastics (duh) or imbalanced ph (read: acid) breaks down your cover. You pay $70 a year to save hundreds on water bills. And as for solar? What dunderhead thinks that a cover could possibly add more heat absorption to water than uh. . . water. If you really want this to warm things it would have to circulate the cold water at the bottom of your pool through the heating element. Just floating this on top of your pool will provide negligible heat.Stop buying into marketing hype. One buys these covers to retain heat from a heat pump and to prevent water evaporation at night. It will save you a ton of money on either/both over the course of the year in a convenient easy to move package that you will definitely have to replace in a year. It will pay for itself within a month. If you hate the quality/durability, by all means, rig something up with sheet platic/tarps and floaties. Just don't complain that it is heavy, unwieldy, and moldy. you make your choices.

Received a ripped box with a used cover. Contacted Seller and getting run around
I received a box that was ripped open and taped several times. After unpacking I noticed what must have been a sticker at one time. Half ripped off. Then and it unfolds I see it had no other wrapper around the cover. As I open it the ends are sliced and tattered. Clearly used . I hear everyone complaining about the warranty. I just wanted a cover that wasn’t used and abused. No help from the seller

No Warranty, lasts 1 to 2 seasons
We have bought this cover twice and both have deteriorated after 2 summers, barely making it through the second one. The warranty is useless. Here is the quote I received after sending in images of the thousands of missing bubbles and large holes that have worn in the cover:The warranty does not cover the following:•Bubble Damage: This occurs when the bubbles on the solar cover start to fall off. To me it seems that have basically written the warranty to not include anything that could or is likely to happen to a pool cover with regular and proper use and care.I maintain our pool daily and believe this cover simply cannot stand up to the Arizona sun.It will help heat up the pool but be aware you will need to buy one every 1 to 2 seasons and your money may be better spent on a different brand.

The cover is falling apart
I purchased this pool cover 1 year ago to the month. It gets put away for the summer, so it was used for only a few months last spring to warm the pool up, and in the fall to extend the swim season and its already falling apart. Little blue circles are coming off of it and into the pool water, the cover is just disintegrating.
