Excellent Laser Sight
Installed the green laser on my HK VP9 and shot several hundred rounds through the modified gun. Crimson Trace green laser sight has markedly improved my shooting regardless of firing position. Love that the laser is pressure activated so I don't have to worry about manually turning it on in the event of an emergency and the green laser is amazingly bright. If you're thinking about a green laser sight for your HK this is the one to get.

Great laser sight for VP9/40 - Check Other Sources if Price Shopping
Crimson Trace makes a great laser sight, and this red laser sight (also available in green, but more expensive) is made to fit the H&K VP9, VP40 or VP9SK. Installation is easy, the included instructions are clear. Crimson Trace has a "Batteries for Life" program which is nice, but the batteries are not expensive and easily available from many sources. The sight fits the pistol perfectly and the pressure switch is positioned to turn on the laser whenever the hand grips the pistol, so you never have to worry about finding a switch to turn on the device (although the green version does have an on-off switch). Windage and elevation can be easily adjusted using the same L-hex key used to install the device, supplied with it. The Amazon price is similar to that usually offered by discount firearms accessories sites, like Optics Planet, and may actually be more expensive when you add in sales tax. I bought this one from Amazon because I was able to use some credit card reward points to bring the price down.

A winner so far
I have two other Crimson Trace lasers - one for a SIG P229 and another for my wife's Glock 26 - and both work very well. This was my first Laserguard that I've purchased and so far I'm very pleased with it. I put it on my HK VP40 and it's a perfect fit. My first trip to the range with it proved to be a good experience. After a few adjustments (which you can see in the picture), shooting free hand from 25-30 feet at a 3" shoot-n-c target resulted in very good accuracy (at least for me).Only drawbacks I've encountered so far are (1) no master on/off switch, but I can easily adjust my grip when I don't want to use the laser during practice, and (2) I had to buy a different holster to fit the modified pistol, which was not a big deal. I actually like the new one I bought from CT vs. my old one.
