Discover the Science Behind A Perfectly Brewed Cup of Herbal Tea Most people are not aware of the benefits associated with herbal tea. A simple cup of tea can provide numerous health benefits for your mental and physical health. We recommend using loose leaf tea leaves, as they are fresher than tea bags and raw tea leaves will also allow the leaves to steep more freely. During the infusion process amino acids, tannins and nutrients are released, allow time to steep when using the French Press by Atomic Tea.5 + 1 Reasons to Infuse Your Own Tea Leaves ✔TEA CONTAINS ANTIOXIDANTS – With antioxidants being your body’s fighters against free radicals and oxidative stress, herbal tea should be at the top of your list and an essential addition to your life. ✔TEA FIGHTS CHRONIC DISEASES – Due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, different kinds of herbal teas are able to lessen or even prevent certain diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and more. ✔TEA CAN HELP WITH WEIGHT LOSS – Certain types of tea such as Green Tea or Black Tea contain as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. Love everything about it but water gets trapped in the lid.
I loved the simple elegance and most of all the fact that it contained no plastics. Thought I had finally found the perfect french press. But when I saw that the underlid was welded to the upperlid of the plunger, I thought to myself "uh,oh, it's not sealed, will likely trap water in there". Alas, I was correct, and it did trap water which with time will become disgusting as it cannot be cleaned inside the lid space. Also, one has to be careful when setting it down in a granite countertop, fragile, but that's easily taken care of by either being very careful or placing it on wood or plastic surface of some kind (e.g. cutting board).I don't know if manufacturer ever read the reviews, but in case they do, I'd like to suggest to get rid of the underlid piece altogether and make the overlid piece bend further in then down as to nicely rest on the glass edge of the beaker. That way there's no space where water can get trapped. Production would also cost less (one less piece and no welding), and with the savings I'd suggest inclusion of a removable silicon ring (red to match the top would be elegant) that fits around the bottom edge of the beaker, so as to protect it when setting it down on a hard surface. With those changes I'd purchase several and give it 5 stars.

Makes a great cup of coffee
This press is easy to use, the beaker is microwaveable so you can heat the water (but not the lid and press parts) directly in it, add the coffee grounds, stir, let it steep, and press. The coffee is rich and not bitter, and I like it much better than that made by our electric coffeemaker.

Not bending steel anytime soon
It’s ok but it makes my coffee taste kinda funny. And then I get little chunks of grounds. When those hit me I feel a little like Superman and I try to bend steel but it doesn’t work. Again it’s ok. If I could bend steel, I’d give it five stars.

Very pleased
I like that the canister is all glass and I can heat the water in the microwave, yet the handle stays cool enough to take it out of the microwave! The other glass in metal holders can be removed from the holder to microwave, but much too hot to touch after. Easy cleaning too.

Small but mighty
This was a lot smaller than expected but the quality is excellent. It brews 1 cup at a time.

Not a true unibody design
I bought this in July 2019 mainly for the glass body since I had a lid from a previous press I wanted to keep and it worked great. I mainly hand washed so it only went into the dishwasher every other week at most. However, 7 months later the handle popped clean off while I was pouring coffee. The mess aside, I was disappointed to see that the handle was actually glued on. And that’s where it failed. So I give it two stars- one for working and looking great before it failed. And one for the price. Considering I bought it while on sale for about $7, I got what I paid for.
