Sharp
The knife feels sturdy, looks nice, and is beyond sharp. It slices meat literally like a knife through butter. I don't know how well it'll hold its edge but so far I'm very happy.. Be careful though, when cleaning the knife, I cut my finger without even feeling it at first.

Sharp, Folds nicely
Blade is of good quality. Hasn't rusted.Holding it feels nice and the locking mechanism seems to work good after multiple uses.Folds and tucks away nicely when not in use.

These are excellent prep knives.
For camping and hiking when it comes to prepping food I don't want to use my Camp knife. All the things I put it through I just don't want to prep food with it. I like this because it folds shut. It's a stainless steel blade just like any other kitchen knife. But these are perfect for camping and hiking.

Iconic Feel Factor
I put myself thru school as a sous chef (now retired). I still do the odd private party cheffing & I am a fiend for all my high end knives of which I just own more than I can justify. Since I now do a lot of open fire, & traditional BBQ; I thought this would make a real handy folder to be my “Cowboy Cookout” kitchen blade.I was not ready for the excellent, solid, ergonomically shaped & balanced instrument that came to my hand. The teardrop shape, with the step cut at the finger choil with the aggressive jimping on the catch spring, the extra elongation to the thumb slot, are all features executed with a purpose. The mechanism is solid & smooth. The only thing I would change would be to have, perhaps, 3/4” un-serrated at the tip, because the serrations run the entire length of the blade. It is very sharp, with very fine grained steel, & this: Is a very small quibble.Would I buy this again if something happened to this one?I already bought a spare to go in my formal knife roll, so I won’t be without one. I will probably buy another before too long. Whenever I strap on my Instantread thermometer, this knife is always close to hand for me.Thanks for a great product.…..and, yep, I just bought the straight razor edge version so I have one of each.

Quite Large & Sharp
If I’d read the read the specs before buying, maybe I wouldn’t have been so surprised at the size. After all, it’s meant for the kitchen, not necessarily for EDC. Don’t get me wrong. The knife is great! Especially for the price…

Excellent Craftsmanship
I didn't buy this as a practical utensil - i love well-made things. I have a mountain of knives, from reputable, famous manufacturers. This knife compares or surpasses them. The symmetry of the blade against the handle, whether folded or open, insists that the design and execution are top notch. The locking mechanism is quiet, smooth, and secure. The blade tapers to the edge without a step."Surround yourself with beautiful things...who cares if you need them." :)

Seemed sturdy enough but lasted only a few days
The knife was well priced and came in nice packaging and when first tested, had a decently sharp edge as well as a pretty sturdy feel. The main issue I ended up having was that the blade started rusting almost immediately because I was traveling in a humid tropical climate. The blade bent and cracked as well. I wasn’t exactly being gentle with it (I was opening a green coconut) but I would think something labeled “chefs knife” would hold up a bit better. If you’re going to keep this knife 100% dry and you’re not traveling in areas with high humidity, this knife is not a bad choice for basic kitchen use, but, if the knife is going to be exposed to high moisture or any aggressive tasks, I would pass.

Not stamped “Made in Japan” or even “Japan Steel”, so the advertising is misleading.
I ordered this non serrated version as well as the serrated version. Neither were stamped “Made in Japan” or even “Japan Steel”, so the advertising is misleading (and illegal in Australia, breaching Australian Consumer Law). The manufacturer build quality of the knife and the packaging is ok, but the delivery packaging was unacceptable (no protection or bubblewrap). The serrated version was noticeably smaller, but I sent the non serrated version back because it was missing the nylon pouch (as shown in the listing’s photos), it also showed signs of previous use as it had scuff marks on the side of the blade, and the packaging looked previously opened and poorly repackaged. Not good enough Amazon 😏
