I bought this set to add on to my existing gate because of the door. While my older children don't like to use the door, and would rather climb over it, my 2 year old gets through it just fine! The small latch that was there to prevent pulling the door down was broken within two days of setting this up, when my 30 pound daughter ran into the back of the door during a tantrum. Turning the door around to open inward thwarted her for a few hours, then she figured out how to unlock the gate simply by putting enough weight on the door to pull the latch out of the frame. The door frame does not have enough support for the door, and twists rather easily under any type of pressure. The gates themselves are prone to breaking in the center, where the center gate support meets the upper rail. A fair product, while good in idea, could use a redesign for more stability and a better door latching system.

I own 3 of these playpens for our 3 rabbits' playpens. These work really well, only wish they were about 6 or 7 inches taller for our jumpers. One of my recent playpens arrived with a broken gate piece. The packaging was intact, so not sure why the piece was broken. I contacted the North States Industries customer service number. A representative answered immediately, took my information, and within 3 days, I had a brand new gate (not the entire playpen). I very much appreciated the amazing, hassle-free, super friendly customer service! That's how customer service should be (but unfortunately isn't these days).

Bought this fence to keep the baby from going into the kitchen while I cooked and from touching the fireplace when in use. It works fine. It was a little hard to put together and took up a lot of the living room (Which I kind of predicted).

This was exactly what I wanted for my daughter and grandson's visit to our house. I'll have to admit she told me exactly what to get because they have the same thing at their house for Kent to play in. He is getting more and more mobile these days so this provided a safe place for him and his toys to play.

I decided to get this version because of the "door" but honestly I hate the door operation and feel it's too flimsy and difficult to close and open when trying to deal with a toddler and baby. I do recommend the gates by themselves though.

We love this play yard! It's super easy to set up and take down. The travel strap makes toting it a breeze. We added the extra panels to give our daughter a little extra room! A definite must buy for all parents of mobile children!! Makes baby-proofing your home a slice of pie! ;)

So happy to find this with a gate. I have one without and have put them together to keep the dogs out of trouble when we are camping. Easy to use and pretty sturdy!

Great product, it meets our needs. The one-handed door is a little too tricky for just one hand though; it's hard to line up.

Pros: does not damage hard wood floors, packable and light enough to be easily moved around the house, can also be taken apart into smaller sections to block doorways etc. (I use this for a pup), it looks nicer than I thought, sturdy, nice to have a gate and btw this gate works well, reviewers who broke it probably didn't read the instructions, it's a two-step process to open and close it, the pen is stronger than I expected and good enough for my use (I train my pup not to jump it or chew it, and put him in metal and higher pen when he is alone at home.Cons: 1) it takes some effort to fold the panels because there is resistance at the hinges, they click in and out of little slots, HOWEVER, this resistance at the hinges is also what gives the pen it's stability, so I am fine with that. 2) opening and closing the gate requires two hands (the picture is misguiding). I still like having that gate.Conclusion: thank you North States, this is a very useful product.

This product is sold at Costco and Toys-r-us as well. Gets great reviews.We bought with the two piece expansion pack. If you follow the instructions and get a good bed at each corner, it's pretty sturdy. We found all the holes in the plastic mess to be smooth. Out 8 month year old like to put his fingers through and pull him self up. When he's frustrated by being alone (when we are cooking for example) and he sees us from across the room, he sometimes rocks the top back and forth. But it's going no where. He's "slide" down the sides and banged his head on it. Nothing seems so sharp that he's injuries.We are super happy with the product.I paid full price so didn't get bribed the discount to write a good review

We bought this gate thinking that we could reconfigure it to block off our stairs and front door. The gate hinge broke 10 minutes after getting it out of the box. I’m sure if you plan to use this as a pen it’s would work fine. However our 11 month old was too strong for it and was already grabbing into it and pushing it back and forth. Do not buy this gate if you think you can reconfigure it. I have it two stars for the broken hinge. It’s too expensive to break that easily, and what an annoyingly large item to try and replace.

I love this super yard. I did buy the two panel ext and it was worth it for more space. I used it as soon as my daughter began to crawl and I will likely use it next summer outdoors to contain her. One thing I don’t like is I do find the door a bit flimsy and hard to open and close but not overly. Love how each panel comes off to be stored. Best purchase for babies.

We ordered the 5 panels plus the gate, and also ordered the additional 2 panels. It's a great size for our 9 month old to crawl around. Its fairly sturdy; I don't worry about him breaking out. He's not walking yet.
