Loved the character in the movie
The character doesn't translate as well here.A beautiful, fun, charismatic character who was secure in her brilliance and reveled in the joy of discovery feels more like a bit character who is looked at as secondary, even by her own family. Not only does this feel inauthentic, it's so far from the original that it just feels like Marvel pandering for the current social commentary atmosphere.

Shuri is such a smart and noble young woman!
This is a wonderful tale about Shuri whose brother is T'Challa, King of Wakanda and also happens to be Black Panther.Shuri along with their Mother, loyal guards, Storm who is his girlfriend and a few select others are worried that T'Challa hasn't made contact in over two weeks. Determined to find out what's going on, Shuri sets out to investigate and soon learns there are other things going on and is about to be faced with a number of surprises. This book was such a pleasure to read and the artwork is amazing. If you're a fan of Shuri, I highly recommend this book which was full of surprises!

Princess Shuri, to be or not to be Black Panther
This was a fun read and a page turner. I’m not a comic book reader however as a Black Panther fan I wanted to give it a try. I enjoyed reading this well crafted comic book on my iPad. Each panel was like a page. Anyway. Well done.

Thrillride
This comic was gorgeous. It was drawn with bright colors and movement that felt real. The characters popped off pages while landscapes surrounded me. It was like I took a break and went on missions went Shuri. Loved it!!!!

Where is T’Challa?
Story starts out with King T’Challa missing in action after going into a wormhole. Princess Shuri ever the inventor fights against Wakandan tradition. After all “just because things work doesn’t mean they can’t be improved.”

Good series
This is a great introduction to the series but also works well as a stand alone read. The writing is good and I like the art style of this book.

A true masterpiece of a comic
It was intense and gripping and I loved the appearances such as Rocket Raccoon and Groot.

Beautifully written and drawn
Instantly captivating. Makes you root for the heroine as she tries to deal with life, arch villains, and everything. Not sure why she would need to appeal to a far away white classic Marvel hero like Iran Man to help her out, that part was unconvincing and felt forced. Also, it was not always clear where the material for her on-the-fly inventions came from. In that aspect, the story telling was at times shoddy. Still, a great read with gorgeous art work!
