Bought two of these for a bedroom
I bought two of these for my daughter because she prefers using lamps instead of the bedroom light on the ceiling because of the glare it causes on her laptop.She has one by her bed and one by her desk and I was a little bit afraid that both would be triggered when she clapped to turn or turn off. Once we installed them which was basically plugging them into the wall and then plugging the lamp cords to the units, they worked perfectly. She has had them long enough to know where to stand and how loud to clap if she wants to turn them on at the same time. She also knows how close to get to one if she wants to turn on/off only one unit!It took her a few tries at the cadence of the clap to turn them on and off, but once she figured that out, it became second nature.I only gave it a four star due to the fact that I am not really sure what the "smart chip" does or is...seemed more like a marketing term than anything else.I would recommend these for anyone wanting this sort of functionality in a bedroom. With all the smart phone apps and wireless internet of things out there, I am sure there are other solutions, but for the cost and ease of setup, I would purchase these again.

Clapper is a crapper!
Too sensitive to outside noise or stero music, some music will turn them on and off all the time it plays. Tracks go by and do the same. Then when clap nothing happens. You have to clap unusually hard and purposely. Not a really perfected product. I will not buy another until product is improved, and I'm very sure they can improve it but won't!

I set this up following the instructions provided. It did not respond to any clapping conditions I tried, and I tried a lot! However, it did just randomly activate the switch, even when no sounds were made. If you want a “clapper” that works, don’t waste your time or money on this.

Garbage - Dont waste your money
Garbage product that doesnt work 80% of the time. Also random pots and pans clinging would make it go off
