This item is a great paper weight. However, the purpose of my purchasing it was for a pen holder. I have a pen that I don't like coworkers to run off with, so I usually keep it in my current pen holder that is multi functional and acts like a tape dispenser and sticky note home. That works well but is kind of bulky, which is why I thought this item would be perfect. The pen falls out of the hole unless you ever so gently and carefully place it in there, and nine times out of ten if winds up falling out anyways. This is nothing more than a fancy paperweight.

I will be the first to admit that I could live without this thing, but I love it on my desk. I have a messy desk and I was always scrambling for a pen when I needed one. This hand solves that problem and it looks cool. It is quite heavy so it stays put on the desk. It's a novel item that I never knew I needed before I got one. Perfect gift for someone who works at a desk.

heavy, beautiful pen holder -- useful on desk and receives many positive comments by clients and others who see it...thinner stock pens fit really well, larger width pens like Churchills or Cigar style are too large....great product that does its job
