Seeds from this Giant Milkweed Tree or Calotropis gigantea. Medium sized to large shrub with light lavender flowers and seeds with a parachute of hairs. The plant grows 8 feet tall and is hardy in zone 10-11. This plant is host to a variety of insects. The butterfly Plain Tigerand Common Crow breeds here; their caterpillars feed on the leaves. The shiny blue bee Xylocopa also visits. Although its blooms can be seen all through the year, its flowers mostly during summer season. Visit my flower garden gallery for more pictures.

Zero germination
The seeds never germinated. All the other varieties of asclepias germinated in abundance. These did nothing and there's no way to validate they were ever viable, or even the species claimed. Unfortunately, this is absolutely worthless.

I did not have any plants come up
They did send 11 seeds. Followed the instructions to letter. Trying to grow them in a greenhouse. None have sprouted yet. I have grown numerous milkweed plants and most call for seeds to soak for several weeks. These instructions call for seeds to soak for 2 days and then plant. I knew better. I should have soaked them until sprout. Now they are lost under the soil. I am sprouting the Siriaci adjacent to these and have 30 or 40 two inch tall sprouts. This was an expensive bad lesson.

Seeds not viable
Seeds did not germinate .. That's way to much money to pay for not even one seed to come up.. The seeds didn't look very fresh.. but I gave it the benefit of the doubt.. and planted .. This makes two times i have ordered seed online.. and this will be my last.. I think the seller needs to send fresh replacements to everyone that received old unviable seed..

Seeds did not grow even with diligent care. So bummed!
Received product and planted them in the house and kept them warm and watered. Not a single one sprouted. Disappointed. User error possible, I imagine, but I was QUITE diligent and tended them as if they were my own children. Did I plant them too early or did I receive bad seeds? Daughter suggested that the bees may not have worked their magic on these guys. So bummed!
