Works well for standard DSLR type cameras. I find it very well made and the gimbals are very smooth. With my lumix fz200 I only had to use 1 of the lightest weights supplied and not stretch the lower stablizer all the way down to get a very nice balance. Its definately an art to get a good balance. My dvx100 is way to heavy to get balanced on this version. The rod that lowers down would have to go down quite a bit further to balance a heavier camera OR....a lot more weight would have to be attached. The disadvantage of attaching more weight is that its tiring to carry a heavy object around. It seems the best approach is to bend my elbow and keep the weight in close to my body. The balance point is like a teeter toter in that the length of the rod in relation to the fulcrum point (the hand hold point at the Gimbel) and weight at that length is key. SO the lenth at the camera weighted end is about 5 inchs and the rod and weights are about 11 inch from the Gimbel which means a camera weight end of 1.5 lbs would require more than .75 lbs at the 11 inch rod end to match. I personally like less weight so it would be nice IF...the weighted end was adjustable to be say 16 inches away thru maybe 3 folding rods? I dont think it would be a problem to have the whole stabilizer to be 10 inches longer and putting less weight down lower would be easier to carry around.It works very well on the whole at stabilizing video shot while using it. I like it.

My experience with the S40 handheld stabilizer has been solid. I'm pretty new into videography, this is the first stabilizer I've ever owned and I'm really pleased with the build quality, and the overall performance. Even though it's not as good as gimbal, but it's totally worth it and you don't have to break the bank for a stabilizer at least for a start.I love the build and how sturdy it is. I love how compact and how it grips your camera and you can have it balanced. You would need some practice with this to perfect the stabilization aspect which is why you would even get it in the first place. But it's not gonna take forever to learn in a few weeks you can totally get used to it. I've tried some pretty heavy lens on this stabilizer and it really performs well for the most part.The only down side to this stabilizer is the fact that it doesn't perform as good as a gimbal. You're gonna need some practice with the stabilizer to perfect it. Apart from that I totally love it!

Not bad. It is decent for the price. The handle attachment is the weak link and has too much friction on mine if tight and too much wobble if loose. Design is just not quite right to work well. The handle introduces some undesired movement. Overall it works for me, but could be a good bit better with a better bearing setup in the handle.

This stabilizer is great, easy to use and I was surprised with how much it helped with rough movements, it's like watching a Hollywood movie.Problems I've noticed:-Horizontal Positioning screw - This seems to get in the way and hit the mount for the handle, not a big deal as I swapped it to face the other direction. It's just slightly annoying.-Weight - it is definitely great quality, bearings are smooth and the machining of the equipment is great. It is just heavy when it is all loaded and if you are not using any type of mount to put it on, you have lots of strain in your hand.-Wrist pain - Because of the weight and the design of the handle, it causes some pain in the wrist and hand. This isn't a big deal as I compensate and take breaks, but can hurt someone if they're not comfortable.-Handle - I wish it was designed slightly different, with more grip options or adapters to have a two handed approach.-Camera sway - Another thing I noticed, and maybe because I'm a novice, I cannot lock the camera position so when I turn left I have to wait for it to catch up or turn it manually, slightly frustrating.Overall, I really like this gimbal, I feel there are some improvements to be made, but for the price I paid I think the quality and craftmanship make it worth it.

The media could not be loaded. I can't believe I was able to pick this up for this price! I've been waiting for about a year to pick up a stabilizer for my DSLR and I'm glad I picked this one. It's very solid....and stable, once you get the hang of it.The Great:1. The entire thing is made of metal. It's got a great finish and has a lot of weight to it.2. It comes with six weights. For my Canon 200D with a mic I only needed the two larger ones.3. Easily adjustable. It did take a while to get things perfect. Glad the knobs are grippy and easy to adjust. The little levels aren't exactly useful in a vertical position, but I guess if I wanted a sideways shot I could use them to my advantage.The Okay:1. Once you get things set, it works extremely well. The issue is that it does take quite a while to make things balanced. The video they provide does an okay job, but I found another person with this stabilizer who made it very clear. After watching his video it took about five minutes to get this set up!Overall, I'm pretty happy with this stabilizer. I have one extra carabiner on my to-go camera bag and this will definitely be hanging from it! A nice tip I got from YT: Etch a little mark on the different mounts and weights so you know where to place them for the next time you use this!

Muy bueno, los materiales excelentes y buena construcción, bastante bueno para el precio, ciertamente pesa bastante y cuesta tenerlo algo de tiempo pero con práctica uno se acostumbra o eso espero jajajajaja aún no probado pero si se equilibra con facilidad. 5 Estrellas, la única pega que le veo es que los tornillos para ajustar en la Cámara no tienen ese pequeño eslabón para tirarlo sino que tienes que usar una moneda de céntimo para atornillarlo y es un pequeño follón, por lo demás perfecto.

Excellent value. Really excellent. It's not perfect, but damn close. Sometimes I have problems where it's just a tad listing to either side - as in theres just the tiniest bit of friction stoping it from being perfectly level. No amount of column/weight adjustment seems to get it perfect. Just requires very slight adjustment from my stabilizing hand, so I don't consider it a critical issue. Strongly recommend for light mirrorless cameras as a starter stabilizer. I'm so glad I purchased this unit. I've used it on numerous paid projects with nothing but compliments.

I was on the verge of buying a mechanized handheld gimbal for my camera, but purely due to the price of well over £200 I gave the last one shot of researching other options. One of youtube videos pointed me towards steadicam... and I am glad it did.Based on reviews and opinions I knew that a little bit of set-up is to be expected, but the leaflet included with the steadicam has a link to youtube video with very clear instructions. This was pretty easy and the very first time took less than 5 minutes. After than it takes only a minute or so.To achieve best results it takes time and practice, but even the very first attempt will be 100s times more stable than from a handheld camera. When you practice a little the footage will be buttery smooth. I am somewhere in between :)Summarising, this is a well made, incredibly effective and cost very reasonable money.I would highly recommended.PROS- cheap- does not need batteries- robust (throw into a backpack and it will be fine)- very effectiveCONS- needs setting up every time- takes a little bit of practice to get smooth footage

Gut ist, dass jede der insgesamt 3 Achsen kugelgelagert ist. Das Lager der großen Mittelsäule läuft als einziges so reibungsarm, wie es für eine gute Funktion bei einem solchen Gerät nötig ist. Die zweite Lagerachse steht quer zur Mittelsäule (also die Querachse) und die beiden kleinen Lager sind im Gehäuse des großen Mittelachsen-Lagers eingebaut. Damit der Griff an diese Achse befestigt werden kann, hat man eine Art Zwille daran gebaut. Dort, wo bei der Zwille das Gummiband gespannt ist, sitzt hier die Querachse. Der Griff der "Zwille" ist ebenfalls mit 2 Kugellagern drehbar. Das ist die dritte Achse.Damit das Gerät brauchbar wird, habe ich folgende Änderungen vorgenommen:1. im Gehäuse des Mittelachsenlagers sind 2 Bohrungen für die beiden Querlager. Das Gehäuse wurde für dei Bohrungen abgeflacht. Diese Abflachungen habe ich mit einem Zapfensenker am Bohrständer um ca 0.5mm auf jeder Seite abgefräst. Dadurch klemmt die Zwille nicht mehr die beiden Querlager ein - was sie vorher machte und dadurch so viel Reibung erzeugte, dass sich die Mittelachse nicht von selbst ausbalancieren konnte. Sie blieb schräg im Raum stehen!2. Zwischen dem Griff und der "Zwille" befindet sich eine kleine Aluminiumrolle. Auf der Seite der Zwille habe ich den Aussendurchmesser auf einer Länge von etwa 1mm soweit herunter gedreht, dass der Duchmesser dort 8mm beträgt. Nach dem Zusammenbau hat die Alurolle nicht mehr gleichzeitig den Lagerinnen- UND Außenring berührt. Denn das führt unweigerlich zu viel Reibung.Die Schraubverbindungen habe ich dann mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl und mit Schraubensicherungskleber fixiert.Die Lagerung ist jetzt seher gut, aber solche Arbeiten erwarte ich nicht, wenn ich etwas neu kaufe...Zum Auswuchten ist auf der Kameraseite ein kleiner Kreutztisch (...) , der mit Schwalbenschwanzfürungen einfach und gut läuft. Die Skalen hat man hier auf die beweglichen Spann-Flächen der Schwalbenschwanzführung aufgebracht, was zu einer Einstellungenauigkeit von etwa +-2mm führt. Eine Unwucht spürt man aber schon bei einem Versatz von 1mm. Die Skalen können daher nur als Anhaltspunkt für eine grobe Ausrichtung dienen, aber nicht zur genauen Einstellung verwendet werden. Die muss nach der groben Einstellung wieder mit "Gefühl" gemacht werden. Hätte man die Skalen auf die andere Seite - also die feste Seite der Schwalbenschwanzführung gemacht, dann gäbe es das Problem gar nicht - eine echte Fehlkonstruktion!Die Libellen (Miniwasserwage) in den Schraubköpfen machen absolut keinen Sinn und sind nur Spielerei...-hinzu kommt, dass sie eingeklebt sind und bei einer der Schrauben auch noch schief...-das macht das Ganze dann nochmal so richtig absurd...Die Platte, an die die Kamera angeschraubt wird hat 2 Nuten und 2 1/4"-Schrauben. Jede läuft unverlierbar in einer Nut. In der Mitte der PLatte befindet sich eine größere Gewindebohrung - ich vermute mal: 3/8"-Gewinde - ein typisches Maß für Stative.Ist wohl für irgendwelche Adapter gedacht...Die vier Gummifüße an der unteren Platte sind zu klein und die Schraubenköpfe ragen zu weit heraus -> ich habe sie etwas stärker angeschraubt und nun geht's...Die Gewichte und deren Befestigung sind gut verarbeitet. Die Befestigung ist leichtgängig.Die Stange zur Verlängerung hat keine Skala. Die Knebelschraube zum Fixieren der Verlängerungsstange wirkt billig (Plastik!) und ist labil.Der Griff ist aus weichem Schaumstoff. Fühlt sich so ähnlich an wie am Fahradlenker, nur deutlich weicher.Es gibt eine schwarze Tasche, in die alles hinein passt. Schöner wäre hier noch ein extra Beutel für die übrigen Gewichte, damit die beim Transport nicht hin- und hertanzen und alles kurz und klein hauen, was in der Tasche ist...Es gibt keine Bedienungsanleitung. Da das Auswuchten nicht gerade etwas Einfaches ist - und schon gar nicht, wenn man etwas dynamisch auswuchten möchte, halte ich die Bedienungsanleitung in diesem Fall für besonders wichtig.Für dieses Produkt ist ein Stern schon überbewertet!Es funktioniert nicht - es sei denn ihr habt eine gut eingerichtete Werkstatt für Metallverarbeitung.Bei mir funktioniert das Ding jetzt zwar, aber ich kann dennoch nur Jedem davon abraten.Ich habe mir die Mühe der Nacharbeit nur deswegen gemacht, weil ich es zum Geburtstag verschenkt habe und die Lieferzeiten für ähnliche Produkte bei knapp zwei Monaten lagen... soviel Zeit hatte ich schon bei der Bestellung nicht ...als es dann hier war, hatte ich logischer Weise noch weniger Zeit ;-)
