The Snowman

Present for grandson. Our kids had this too when tiny. Love it. Note: this version has no words, just drawings. Beautiful. You just tell story from the pictures. You can get the version with the story if you prefer.

My 2 year old watched the animation on TV for the first time this Christmas and fell in love with the snowman. I found the book on amazon and ordered it for her and she loves it. I got the book in hardback as she’s still a little rough. The book is beautiful, lovely shimmery/glittery cover and all the illustrations inside are just like they were when I was a child. It’s lovely to talk about the pictures and talk through the story. My little girl was enchanted by it. I’ve put it away for next Christmas now so she can enjoy it all over again next year. I had read some reviews complaining about the fact there’s no words or story in the book... really!? Just like the fact the animation of full of narration..

the snowman is lovely it is so nostalgic and makes me feel very festive I am just delighted that my daughter likes it as much as I do. Bought with the snowman and the snow dog as a christmas gift from santa. Very excited to own a new copy as my copy from the 80's is definitely past its best.

This just had pics - no words. Should of read the description. Nice quality and size tho.

Pictures so can tell your toddlers the story differently every time if you like. If my toddler is not concentrating well I speed through it much quicker!

Hardback picture only. No pictures of the snowman party or Santa that appears in the show which is a shame

Lovely book brings me back to my childhood and great pictures that still really captures even my imagination -even to this day (and I'm 37) really felt like I was a part of the story. Raymond briggs still captures that christmas magic.

The book is great as it goes through the entire short film however the pictures are really tiny so it's nice for people who already know the film. If you've never seen it, the book won't allow you to capture the emotion of the story.Ps. Only pictures, no words, just like the film
