Cheap fabric and misleading branding
First, the color is misrepresented in the picture. In the picture, it is much more saturated and interesting than it is in person. Second, unlike the description "very thin and pleasant" the fabric is plain, thick and smooth - this is NOT the fabric appropriate to towels. I come from the culture where I grew up with linen sheets and towels and clothing. This type of fabric has been used to make flour sacks and items which were not used for clothing or personal care. Even dish towels would be made from different fabric which has better texture. I simply can't fathom how one would enjoy using this as a towel. So the claim in the product's description about it being the "Best Quality luxury Bath towel" is simply false. Perhaps, if you never saw different kinds of linen, you might for some reason think that (although if you have common sense, this towel would simply not feel like that). It seems to me that the makers of these towels are profiting from using the cheapest linen they can possibly buy, hemming it minimally and then branding the product as "luxury towels." It would be like sourcing the cheapest tea dust in the poor countries, putting them in cheapest paper bags and branding it as the artisanal one-of-a-kind choicest tea, while all along it takes like, well... dust. Which, by the way, does happen a lot as well. Disappointing. I would not recommend.

Good deal on linen!
Light to mid weight material, not as heavy as I would have liked. It feels slightly heavier than my linen sheets. Quality and stitching are good and the size is just shy of described (before washing). I plan on using it as a shoulder wrap/shawl as it is a good length/width for that purpose. Price was cheaper than purchasing the material and sewing one myself.

Great light weight travel towel with many uses.
The thickness and the weight of the fabric is just about right for a travel towel. If it’s thicker, it may take longer to dry and will be less compact. In fact it’s about the same thickness as Japanese traditional hand towel - tenugui, which I have been using for my travels. This linen towel does much better job of wiping water off from skin than cotton tenugui in larger, more comfortable size.I also have a MSR micro fiber pack towel that always leaves my skin feel somewhat dump. Not so with this linen towel. My skin feels much fresher immediately.Key for ultra light travel is to select smaller/lighter items. Also it’s best that each item serve multiple purposes so that you carry less items as a whole. This linen towel is great for both.Pro- Packs smaller than a regular hand towels.- Doubles as a neck/head scarf for warmth, blocking sun and dust.- Absorbs water faster and better than cotton towels..- Dries faster than cotton.- Feels fresher than cotton and microfiber towels.Con- As a towel I can’t find any con but I wish it was a little longer (and wider) and it could have had many more uses such as a bed sheet, sarong (aka. lungi) etc.I do not smell any chemical oder like other reviewer. Not as thin and see through as one of the reviewers says when wrapped around my waist when wet. At least it does not bother me.

I Get Drier AND My Towels No Longer Stink!!!
***IMPORTANT*** Drying off with a linen towel is very different than a typical terrycloth towel. You will quickly realize that you have to use the entire surface of the towel. That said, after I figured them out, I love them and think dry me much better than terry cloth towels. The blue is great because it's easy to see which parts are dry and which parts you've saturated. They dry quickly and the most amazing part...they have yet to get the funky mildew wet towel funk!

Used this for Bikram Yoga
I used this for Bikram yoga several times now. It doesn't completely cover the mat, nor does it stay flat. And it does soak through by the end... But! It is highly comfortable, no slippage under my feet, and after class I get it soaking wet, wring it out and hang it to dry. It dries completely within a couple hours of just hanging up in my room. It smells clean the next day even though all I did was rinse it with water after class each time. Highly absorbent. Highly recommend (although not necessarily for hot yoga).

light towel gathers water much better than a heavy terrycloth cotton towel of equal size
It doesn't seem possible, but this thin, light towel gathers water much better than a heavy terrycloth cotton towel of equal size. It also dries faster. Not sure where the catch is.

Not as expected
These towels were much thinner and less thirsty than I expected. I wasn't expecting an ultra plush towel, but these are almost as thin as the linen bed sheets I have. I have cotton Turkish towels that are thicker than these. They don't really feel like 100% linen to me, maybe a linen/cotton blend. The color is also different from what was pictured - more of a chambray color than the blue-green in the pic. That being said, they do dry quickly and would be nice for travel or the gym.

Exactly what I was hoping for
This is a perfect travel towel. Took it backpacking in mountains & jungle, and it dried easily in both places. It's very absorbent, and since it isn't synthetic it feels good against the skin. It folds up much smaller than expected, which was ideal. It provides as much coverage as a normal bath towel, and I've been very happy with how it's been. Would even consider using this when not travelling.
