On my last shoulder surgery, I leased a Game Ready which is a superior but expensive machine, $125/week. For an ankle injury, I borrowed a friend's Iceman and bought an ankle attachment. I was impressed how well it worked so I bought a used one. I knew the other shoulder was coming.I decided to buy the shoulder attachment for it prior to this surgery. It worked great and saved a ton! The pad is large. I'm a big guy. It takes some help and a little practice to get it fitted correctly. I just left it on and detached the connector so I could move around. Sometimes I left it connected and just carried the machine in my other hand, if I was in a hurry or it was at night.The pad is big enough that it would work well for a hip or back, so it is versatile. It's too big for a leg or knee.Do yourself a favor and buy a dozen or so of the small 8 oz. bottled water. Pour an ounce or so out and freeze them. You can fit about 5 comfortably in the machine. They're reusable and it will 1/2 your ice bill.You'll need to ice again when PT starts so go ahead and buy the equipment. It's worth the investment.

Circulating water was not cold

My husband had shoulder replacement surgery. Needed a larger pad and needed to make sure it fit the couplings of the ice machine. Worth the money.

great design that keeps your whole shoulder cold, nice heavier weight straps, good quality fabric that keeps the straps attached.My only issue is the hose placement/attachment point. It gives you the option of spreading the arm sections so they fit over bandages or if you have wider biceps, but the strap moves around a lot, which is annoying.

Tore my bicep, rotator cuff and shoulder cartilage when walking a dog (he took off after a bunny and took my arm with him). The pain was excruciating, and trying to position ice bags around my shoulders was a disaster. Purchased the ice machine and this shoulder wrap, and WHAT A GODSEND! Will have to have surgery on my shoulder, and will continue to use this pad afterward. Made a huge difference with inflammation, and the pain was as tolerable as it could be.

Shoulder surgery to repair a rotator cuff, get rid of a bone spur and get some arthritis taken care of meant that I needed cryotherapy. That was fine. What isn’t fine is the fact that the fabric part of this wears off, meaning the velcro doesn’t stay connected as well. I still have to have the cryotherapy, so I will have to find another way to soothe my shoulder.
