the quality of cooking
This is the best cooking vessel we have bought in recent times. The vegetables here cook so much better than nonstick, and this skillet brings out true taste and flavor. We are pleased. It took us 2-3 months to get used to but the joy of cooking and eating vegetables and stir fry is back. We also like the handcrafted design. The size is sufficient for cooking for 3 people or may be 4 if people eat in moderation. The compact size is a big plus and creates ease of handling.For a change, cooking & frying is a delightful experience because of the way cast iron stores and radiates heat and its natural non stick properties. Unlike Teflon, this gets better with time.It does not start smoking if left a bit longer unattended on the stove.We bought this about 18 months back.

Good and affordable cast iron Kadhai!!
Cast iron is always good. So this one is no exception! Needs seasoning for 3 or 4 times. But after that you are all set! Food is flavourful. I mostly use it for frying. Fried stuff comes out nice and golden brown. Because oil doesn’t overheat. Finishing could be better, but given it’s relatively cheap cost as compared to Rock etc it’s definitely worth the money. Also after the seasoning and all the finishing doesn’t matter as much.

This kadai is excellent. If you have a medium to small size family - serves 4 people well.Product is strong and sturdy. I loved the simple design and the iron is also very good quality. I’m so happy switching from Aluminium to Iron cook ware. This kadai is absolutely worth it without a doubt.

Lifetime investment
I had purchased this kadai a couple of months back and decided to review only after long usage. This has become my favorite kadai that I use daily for a family of 4. This is a kadai that u can pass from one generation to the next. I have tried several non sticks and was not happy . I then tried out the cast iron kadai options online. The reviews had me thinking whether to go for this as there were a lot of unhappy customers. But I read one where the first 15 use had been done for frying and I went ahead with the purchase. Ofcourse its handmade and some minor surface roughness was there another review had suggested sandpaper rubbing. I did both rub with sand paper then washed and used for frying the first 3 use and and the kadai is truly a lifetime investment. I am adding pictures of the food made in the kadai. Just to get the idea the stickiest of all foods is sabudana you can check it in this kadai intentionally have shown the bottom that I just moved the food for pic no scraping and lapsing upma. In these times when we get something handmade and Indian we have to promote the same as this will definitely pass to the next generation as its sturdy natural and non toxic non stick and healthy as compared to the new age non stick which cant claim any of the above. Hope this helps you make your decision. The name may differ online to the actual delivered but as long the product is good doesn't matter.

Good quality but finish not perfect
Update: after more than a year's usage, I'm very happy with the kadai. You must buy it. As I have mentioned in my old review, don't expect fine finish but it's alright. It's very non stick. Compared to other cast irons this one is easy to season.Old review:First of all, it's not seasoned at all. You will need to season it. Inner surface is not fine, there were few uneven areas. After seasoning also, it's not as nonstick. Better spend more money and buy pre-seasoned. I wanted kadai, hence I'm keeping it.

Product not inspected before delivery to customer
Complete disliked as the product was not inspected before delivery. In spite of lodging complaint, nobody came to pick up the defected product.

Can be better.
The positive point is this cast iron kadai is heavy and can withstand heat for long time.The negative points are (I) this kadai needs to be cleaned multiple times before normal use because the kadai is rusty.(II) the handles are weak.

Best Kadhai ever!
This has become the most used Kadhai in our kitchen. Good does not burn or stick to the sides as it’s quite thick.One of my best buys ever!
