Harmonizing Your Craniosacral System: Self-Treatments for Improving Your Health

AHHHHHHHH!
This is an excellent book for self helpers. I don't know if your head has to get use to being worked on, or if it's just me because I'm doing everything they say (lots of pictures to make sure you're doing it right too). If I mess with my head too much, it starts to hurt! The points works well for me and draining the fluid I feel and it is good, but it seems the other exercises just get to my head aching again. I have Cerebellar Atrophy. Will keep doing this as it's just so gentle, I get the feeling that your head may have to work up to being use to being prodded like that. I love the book. Very easy to understand and LOTS of pictures too. Got it with the Craniocradle and it is a perfect match.

Excellent for self-healing.
Great book. I really enjoyed learning how to help myself. I take it to my cranial sacral practictioner and get homework. If you don't have a cranial sacral person in your region or can't afford cranial, this book might get you pretty far. But best with a pro, I think, to help guide you once in a while.

For those that do cranial/sacral work
The missing piece to cranial/sacral work is the participation of the client between appointments. These techniques can be taught to the client specific to maladies. The other way this book is wonderful is when learning craniosacral therapy, the best way to know what pressure and monitor the wave is on yourself. This is a great book. I loved it. Thank you.

Not what I wanted. I wanted the Cranio-Sacral by Dr Ledbetter
The Cranial-Sacral manipulation that was devised originally by Dr Upledger and taught at the Upledger Institute in Florida, was a health game changer for me. It not only repaired my spine and skeletal issues, but really seemed to fix my food and chemical sensitivities, even helped my fatigue and narcolepsy! I don’t know what this kind of “cranio-sacral” modality this is that is in this book. It’s a lot of different technical kind of stuff and it’s not actually easy to do ? Or maybe it was just overwhelming just for me. I was looking for how to do the hips support thing where you are barely manipulated by the practitioner, and same with base of skull. By using the gentlest of touches at a very specific area, and doing almost no movement at all and no pressure; the Upledger method is just remarkable. Magnificent and magical. I have no idea what this is in this book, but it’s not Upledger’s and it wasn’t what I was looking for. I am open to the author explaining what it is. If anyone knows of a book or info out there on how to do the Upledger method of cranio-sacral therapy, or cranial-sacral therapy, please let me know?

Excellent Self-Help Book
Well illustrated book that not only explains how to do the techniques, but why they are beneficial. I'm not always the best about long-term follow through when it comes to any type of self care, but definitely feel the benefits when I take time to do this work. For those who plan to study craniosacral techniques -- tuning in to your own system will help your perception when it's time to work with others.

Works on all levels
This is a well thought out book of easy craniosacral exercises that non-practitioners (like me) can do at home. The exercises are easy, relaxing and good work to do between sessions. The text of the book is excellent and I find that just reading the book is relaxing in itself.
