Orient Men's "Bambino Version 5" Japanese Automatic/Hand Winding Watch

Orient watches are considered by many people to be the greatest value in the watch business today. Orient's been around a long time, they make their own watches, they are now partially owned by Seiko.This watch has everything. It's a good compromise for people who like large watches. The indices are incredibly easy to read. A real Plus for an old man like me. The off-white dial increases to the ease of reading. And by golly, the date window is wonderful it's so readable. When I write reviews I often say highly recommended if it's a great product, I would have to say this watch is highest recommended.In the vernacular, it is "Hacked, Hackable." It is: 1. Automatically wound. 2. It can be hand wound. 3. And the third part of hacked. The second hand stops when you set your watch.Be careful not to over wind.I gave this watch five stars. Again it is an incredible watch and an incredible price. However, this was returned merchandise. The clear plastic sheet that protects the crystal is missing. This is a good way to tell it is returned merchandise or used merchandise if that's missing. Also, mine came in the wrong box. I knew I ordered a Bambino 5th edition, but when the package arrived the box said Orient Star which is the top of their line and not something I am willing to spend that much money on right now. Inside was the watch I ordered. The watch was not secured as it should have been and probably bounced all around inside the case during the whole trip. So I can't give this watch any higher praise. It is a wonderful watch. But I would try to find it from another dealer.

This is a very beautiful watch, but unfortunately, the listing photo clearly shows sky blue hands and a white dial, when in fact the dial is in cream color and hands are very dark blue, which makes them look almost black. I kept the watch anyway. It is very beautiful. But I was expecting to get a watch with a look closer to the picture. I guess the pics are made under bright light, but still - it is a photo effect and natural light will not make these hands look light blue for the eye. Please, refer to my picture to get a better idea how the watch looks like. Also, you may find a review of the watch on Youtube. Unfortunately, I found one only after purchase.UPDATE: it’s almost mid 2025 and the watch works great. It’s the only watch I wear since 2022

As a new watch collector, I am incredibly impressed by the beauty of this piece. The Arabic numerals are gorgeous and there are small beautifully placed silver dots surrounding the dial marking all the minutes. A really nice clear case back lets you see some of the workings. Leather band is phenomenal. In some pictures the hands look blue but it’s very rare that it shines like that. Decently accurate, doesn’t lose/ gain too much time during the day. Great piece for many occasions!

Orient Men's Bambino Version 5 is my 3rd Bambino purchase this year. I am extremely impressed with these automatic watches, and will most likely never go back to battery operated ones. I love the look and feel of the version 5, and have worn it every day. So far, this Bambino has gained only a few seconds every two to three weeks. Very nice. Highly recommended.

The watch is really classic. Elegant and a lot look more pricey than what I paid for.

Excelente relación calidad-precio.Diseño retro muy elegante para ocasiones formales (y para el uso diario si te gusta la moda retro o vintage).Muy buena maquinaria.Tan solo una pega: mi reloj adelanta 16s./día, auque está dentro del margen de tolerancia (20s/día arriba o abajo). Nada que un buen relojero pueda ajustar por poco dinero.

This watch's quality is well above its modest price. Fit and finish is equal to Swiss watches that cost twice as much. Mine is accurate to within fewer than ten seconds a day. Very pleased.
