I ordered this kit prior to going in for 1st time hip surgery on April 25, 2018. When it arrived before the surgery I tested out the devices,The shoe horn, "Dress EZ" device was nice and I still use this piece. The bath sponge was cheap and I threw it away.The sock aid device was the key item I wanted, but it was also very cheap and difficult to use, (to place and hold different soxs, and the keep the soxs in place when you try to pull them on. It was so bad that the hospital gave me the other style which is like a curve piece of plastic that I still use today.The blue leg lifter was fine but I haven't needed to use it.The biggest disapointment was the ErgoMate Deluxe Reacher.The first time i used it to pick up a small newspaper the string popped out of it's holding hole in the trigger end of the handle.I'm an engineer type person, so I figured out how to dismantle the device and tye a double knot(bigger knot), to reduce the chance of the string from popping out again.Didn't work, failed again. I had to limp to my shop to get a washer and tye it to the string so it wouldn't pull through.While in that process I noticed that the string was cut about half way through. Very cheap unit and not dependable.I should have purchased the better quaility items from the hospital or from other vendors for less money.Be a good shopper and watch out for the details. Not a good value!
