I got my son a pair of gaming headphones with a mic so he could talk with his friends on Fortnite. After a couple of weeks the mic stopped working. I was mad because the headphones were really new, but then I saw you could buy a replacement mic online so I did. Imagine my disappointment when the replacement didn’t work out of the box. I assumed my son must have broke something when he was swearing at his friends online (he’s gone through 4 controllers because he’s such a sore loser). The boom does not stay curved or you would expect it to happen and it falls flat making it hard to speak into. I would honestly consider it to be junk over a real product. It’s simply does not hold it’s shape.

The sound foam that came with the mic doesn't fit together. The sound foam needs to be smaller. The flexible mic keeps retracting and you can't really make it fixed as it is was supposed to bend to your own will.This is the best price if you're focused on the good audio. If you're looking for the quality of this replacement, I suggest you should raised the budget that can meet your requirements.

If I could give this zero stars I would. The cover comes off all the time, like you tip it and it slides off. The mic literally does not work and I have to have the tip practically pointed into my mouth for it to actually pic up words that I’m saying, and then it sounds like garbled nonsense to teammates. The bendable wore does not stay bent and will go back straight. DO NOT BUY THIS MIC. YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER IN LESS THAN A MONTH’S TIME. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND BUY A DIFFERENT MIC!!!!!

received this product and knew it was cheap when I got it when it came in a plastic baggie but decided to keep it anyway. it worked for a little over 2 weeks and now its just a lot of static. suggest you buy someplace else.

Big issue is the mic doesn't work if you are using an xbox headset adapter, im using the turtle beach adapter that came with my xofour headset, couldnt figure out why the mic wouldn't pick up on my voice until I plugged it directly into the controller. Not what I paid for! I should be abke to use my adapter to adjust game volume and chat volume, now I cant do that and I am forced to buy an entirely new headset! Thanks alot!

I would give this microphone a 5 star, however, the extremely flimsy wire is terribly annoying. I got fed up having to reposition it constantly so I had to use extra wire I had and wrap it around it untill it would stay in place.For the price the micro picks up your voice and it great in this aspect. Easily would be 5 star if the wire didn't suck so bad.

plug and play, simple and effective. They didn't use quite enough adhesive to keep the mic housing permanently attached to the arm. But you can fix that easily enough with a little super glue.
