Good replacement for lost manual.
This was a replacement for the manual to my old American Havester from 20 years ago. It has all the basic information needed to use my classic appliance.

Dehydration is now an everyday thing thanks to my SnackMaster
Growing older, living on a budget, have been made a lot easier. We started with veggies and herbs from the garden. Then we got into fruit and jerky. I never realized it could be so easy and there are tons of recipes and videos available on the Internet that give great ideas. I found that a great many that did the videos used the NESCO dehydrator and were pleased with it. I know I certainly am. My wife says I am like a kid in a candy shop trying new things to do with it. Just finished some dried honey peanut butter bananas and cinnamon apples for the grandkids. I am sold on dehydrating and this dehydrator is better than sliced bread.

Great advice and recipes
I love this book. It was written with my dehydrator in mind. I have only used a couple of the recipes so far but there are many more I can't wait to try. Thank you!

Not kind of recipes I was wanting
Recipes are mostly how to use dehydrated ingredients. I was interested in how to dehydrate tomatoes, apples etc. Error on one recipe calling it lemon cookies, but it seemed to be a stuffing. There is a lemon cookie recipe later in the book. Yea recipes not clear that you need loose leaf tea, not brewed tea until you read the instructions.

Disappounted
I was very disappointed. It's a nice book, but very short on my interests. I have no interest on ever doing meats or jerky ever. This seems to be something disproportionately pushed by most dehydrator books. I wanted a dehydrator for quite a while. When Wuhan pandemic hit, and I saw how disrupted the food chain was, and having limited freezer space, I based on Nesco's Snack Master Pro's rating, I bought one. I love it. I normally buy frozen vegetables but wanted to save freezer space for meat. Canned veggies are higher in sodium and have lower nutritional content due to temperature required for processing. Your book is lacking in vegetables to use as side dishes with dinner. I'm not interested in snacks or jerky or granola... my dehydrator is a tool for food preservation in a shelter in place situation. Growing season is beginning, I waste to preserve fruits & vegetables to get through the winter.
