You have to turn the player on and off several times in order for it to recognize that you are using the phono feature...the turntable will not rotate and the speakers do not work until the player recognizes that you are in phono mode.

Great beginner player.
I absolutely love this! It is my first vinyl record player and I am so happy with it. The reason for the four stars for sound quality is sometimes the sound can be fuzzy but I do believe it is more so due to the record itself. Other than that, love this purchase!

Ease of use
Took me a while to figure out how to get started. Directions could have been explained a little clearer. Not sure how to set up for alternate use, other than plug/outlet.
