The media could not be loaded. These bulbs are pretty hot! (Looking that is) I plan on perhaps using them for Halloween in a Dungeon environment or using them as Tiki torches when the wind is a little out of control and I don't want a fire hazard on my hands. The color of the flame in the bulb? I think I'd prefer a little more yellow to the color as the actual color of the flame is more orange looking than yellow. These bulbs get the most bang for the buck as you get two bulbs that have 4 different settings. I seriously can't wait to start using them to decorate around the house/yard!

I've bought a few bulbs of similar design through Amazon, but Calmsen has the best in my opinion. Theirs have variable lighting options, and the best pattern sequence for the flame effect - others are too repetitive and too fast, which is a weirdly off-putting experience. Not Calmsen bulbs. They look the most like flame, the color is great, and they actually are focused on a good customer experience - very easy to work with with good customer service. I think I will buy a few more from them. Definitely try these first.

We purchases these after purchasing outdoor solar lights with the same effect. The bulb we put in our porch light is wonderful, however, when we put one in a lamp inside, we found the flickering very annoying.I would give 5 stars for outside use where you don't see the bulb directly, but only one star for inside use.This is no reflection on the seller who shipped on time and in good order. It's more of a personal preference.If I had bought these for indoor use, I'm afraid my review would be much more negative, HOWEVER, for a porch light the effect is quite satisfying though windows and approaching the house. Just enough light to make sure you don't trip, but not glaring. Good job guys.

I've been using these bulbs now for a little over a week. First the Pros: they were relatively inexpensive for two bulbs and had decent reviews. They do a decent job of mimicking a gas light fixture but I would not say great, they look best from a distance rather than up close. And they are LED, rated at just 5W means they use very little energy -- a little less than a 7W incandescent night light, which means you can pretty much leave them on 24/7 and I doubt they will use but a few dollars of electricity the entire year. Cons: as I said they are OK as a gas light but not as realistic as some other bulbs I have seen At least twice now in the past week that I 've used these, the bulbs stopped flickering and simply blink off and on, looking more like a tubular blinking yellow stop light than a gas light fixture. The only way I could get it to stop was to turn the light off and back on again, it then returns to normal. Don't know if left alone if they would have returned to a flickering gas light nor not. The bottom line: they are OK for the price, just be aware of some possible short comings.

I bought these lights to replace some plain white LEDs for my front outdoor lighting. The bulbs have 3 modes and we really only wanted the first one, which is the flicker. One thing I was worried about was the fact that on subsequent on/off switches it changes the mode. We have auto on/off front lighting, so we were worried that the next day it would be flash mode (2) but to our surprise it wasn't. We're very happy with the product and does exactly what is described.

The flame is nothing like the pictures and they are misrepresenting their product with FAKE images. The light itself is very cheaply made. I decided to return this almost immediately after opening and trying it. Don’t waste your time.

The orange color of the flames is the wrong tint (looks more like orange sherbet then flames). Also the led pattern is not very realistic or convincing. They are also tall....really too tall to fit into my ceiling fan without hitting the cover. This is the third brand I have tried, and I am going back to the Hudson brand ones...they are a better flame color, the pattern is more realistic, and they are not so tall. Being inexpensive is the only thing these bulbs have going for them.

I saw a neighbor with flame effect light bulbs (not sure of make) and was so impressed I ordered some for myself ! They are truly very realistic looking. Reminds me of a castle with the flaming lanterns around the entry gates /Doors. I hope they last a good long time, but based on the email I received from the company, thanking me for my purchase, they appear to be focused on customer service.
