This Is A Great Meter Once You Figure Out How to Use It
This is a very nice digital satellite finder at a great price. It takes some work to set up. You need to read the manual and then you must configure your own satellites. If you don't know what transponder frequencies you need, then this is not the meter for you. If you do go to all the trouble of entering all the satellite information manually, this meter performs very well. It has a great feature which is not present in analog meters, which is that it will tell you both when the satellite signal is locked and whether the transponder information you have entered for the satellite matches what is received. This lets you confirm that you are aimed at the correct satellite. Because of this feature, I would recommend this meter over analog meters and most digital satellite finders (which usually do not perform as well as the analog ones).

Running and editing satellites
Takes a bit to power on and one has to make sure it presses the button for more than 5 seconds to start loading the actual startup. Once there everything is really cool. Editing satellites is as easy as moving the up down arrows and elect the new numbers. To add simply tell it you want to add it to the existing, but have to remember which number on the satellite list is added.Otherwise a very great product - Actually took about 3 1/2 mins to find and lock Galaxy 19 KU-Band once dish pointer to the right azimuth and elevation.Thank you

Zero Help if just want to point a Dishnetwork satellite
Requires frequencies of the satellite of interest, i currently use transponder 21 for all 3 satellites needed for dish 1000w, you can use xponder 11 but 21 is stronger than 11, thus easier for initial setup if traveling and just peak the strength of 119. Honestly, a good compass and clear sky and a nice digital single sat strength meter is all you need. This meter makes it WAY WAY too complex for just simple pointing, had to look up specific frequencies and even then could not correlate freq to transponder (data found did not associate them) such as transponder 21 which is what i wanted. So I recommend you to keep looking for a simpler but better for pointing if that is what you want to do !
