Summary: I'm really pleased (and surprised) with the way these plugs gripped the screws, giving a reassuring firm fixture for my curtain poles and skirting boards.My walls in my extension are made of soft "aircrete" blocks, with dot-&-dab plasterboard as the internal finish. I've always had problems putting things up on the wall - should I use plugs suitable for plasterboard or plugs suitable for a solid wall. I've normally got round the issue by using several plugs together - a sort of belts and braces approach. However, this technique has roughly a 75% success rate, with some screws simply turning in the hole (they are reasonably solid but not if you pull hard). These plugs seemed to have a 100% success rate (at least on the 11 screws I did on 2 curtain poles yesterday), so I'm very happy.(Bought with other sizes)

On attaching a 55kg (dry) cast iron radiator to a internal wall - we had a problem. The weight of it pulled three different brand of wall plugs clean out the wall, destroying and de-forming the holes each time. The walls are internal air bricks which can be cut and drilled easily. The wall plugs were not failing, the wall was...An interesting problem to have and things were getting desperate.We ended up ordering these along with some monster 120/8mm bolts designed for screwing directly into concrete.Safe to say these didn't disappoint, they are rock solid and the radiator hasn't budged - even on filling up. Great feedback when screwing in - although it was a 13 on the dewalt driver...Buy it once, buy it right, buy these.

These are my preferred wall plugs now, always catch and hold well. They are more expensive than other versions so if you're going to be using loads perhaps look for a deal and work out the price.

Bought as requested for my husband for putting up some shelving. He was pleased with size and quality of items and will use them for any future DIY projects when required.

Used in thermal breeze block, these are the most expensive raw plugs I’ve ever bought and they are also the first that worked in breeze block. Will buy more. Great product even if they are not cheap.

These are great wall plugs, they go in very easily as they are smooth until the screw starts going in, and feel very secure even in an old stone wall.
