QUALITY REPLACEMENT WELLER SPONGES
I love my Weller soldering station. I actually wore out the original sponge. I've tried some general sponge replacements but none work as well as the original. I took a chance on this five pack and they are great, they fit my stand perfectly and they work. I got two years out of my last sponge so I've got a 10 year inventory on hand now.Thanks Amazon.Happy DIY projects to all

About 1/8" thick - not 5/8" as described when I placed my order
The title of this product has the wrong dimensions. It is listed as 5/8" thick (see image), which is also what it shows on the label of the package I received. However if you look into the product details, the actual thickness of this sponge is .12", or about 1/8th of an inch. Bad on me for missing the "fine print" but the fact remains that this listing shows absolutely the wrong dimensions in the title.

As advertised but a bit pricey
The sponge came as advertised and fit my Weller solder station perfectly. Only complaint is it is expensive for just a sponge.

I like this style with the many individual grooves
Hey, it's a sponge and it works! I like this style with the many individual grooves, that gives more places to wipe the tip and maximum sponge life. This one is larger than most.

The 3 stars is because I found the Hakko brass cleaner works better in cleaner my soldering tip
I needed to replace the cleaning sponge for my Yihua soldering station. This Weller sponge, which is larger than the Yihua tray, was able to be trimmed to fit with no problems. Do not be deceived by the thinness of the sponge when received. When first wetted with water, it swells up to maybe 3-4 times as thick, and maintains this even after the water evaporates. My only complaint is that there was only one in the package. The 3 stars is because I found the Hakko brass cleaner works better in cleaner my soldering tip.

Very good sponge
High quality sponge. Can be easily cut with scissors and expands quite a bit when doused in water. Very nice product!

La esponja es muy delgada, comparada con la original. Rápidamente se ve sucia y ya no hay mucho para limpiar el cautín, a menos que se lave la esponja.
