Purchased this item in February with the intention of putting it out when the weather turned warm. Well I installed it last week and It worked for about 5 days and no longer works anymore.Update: I can’t say enough good things about the customer support regarding this company. I received a replacement within a couple days that is working excellent and even received a postcard apologizing for the inconvenience. Would definitely recommend in the future.

I bought 2...accidentally. My wife did not know I bought one so she ordered one too. I was going to send one back but I thought I would give 2 a try. Neither one are near where we sit outside, per the instructions, and they work great!! They make no noise other than the "zap" of the bugs they kill. As you can see from the pics, tons of dead bugs which means they are not on or near us while outside. The bottoms simply twist off, you dump the bugs out and twist it back on. Could not be more simple. We had a Sunday School party at the house in the middle of June. We live in South Houston so the summer is full of mosquitos and bugs. After the party, my wife and I noticed that not one single time did we complain or even make mention of any mosquito issues while outside. For us, these things have made a big difference for our enjoyment of the back yard.

I bought one of these a few weeks ago at the beginning of mosquito and flying pest season in southeastern Arizona. I am impressed by the effective range of the unit, especially given its size. I keep it hung under my porch as shown in the picture and sit out regularly in the evenings about 8 feet away. So far, I haven't had a single mosquito bite this season (knock on wood). It's also packaged very well on arrival and super easy to clean / access the bulb via the unscrewable bottom. Definitely a good investment for anyone trying to enjoy the outdoors in the summertime!

The performance of this product may be somewhat related to how much of an insect issue you have. Behind our house is a wooded area so we have lots of insects. In that kind of environment I find its design to be very deficient. First you have the zapping noise that occurs when larger insects are "zapped". It can be very annoying and even kept scaring our dog. Secondly, many of the insects that are zapped are stuck to the light and fail to fall into the bottom tray. When they build up enough it begins to cover the light and lessens its efficiency. Lastly the tray at the bottom is not near deep enough. A simple fix would be just to make it deeper. Between points 2 & 3, you have to clean the unit every couple of days to maintain its efficiency. I ended up returning it

I use mine under my screened porch. Even though we don't see the small flying bugs that come in, they do find their way to the very bright blue light. That loud popping sound makes me go cha ching. That sound makes me think I'm getting my return on my money. I love this bug zapper. I had a raid one about the same size and it was garbage. Never made a popping sound or even lasted that long maybe 6 months. I highly recommend Nozkio bug zapper.

I've had the chance to use this for several weeks now, and am impressed with how well it works. It took just a few minutes for me to hang, then we were off to the races. We have a pool in the backyard that started to attract mosquitos, and within a few days this bad boy helped clear out the infestation. It does what it says it will do.

When I was a kid the neighbors had a huge one of these. I could see the soft purple glow from my bed at night. I would count the zaps and was delighted by the mini lightning strikes as the bugs would hit and I drifted off to sleep. This is smaller so, I can’t really hear the zaps from inside but, it did provide an amusing fright to some trick-or-treaters this year. Still love the soft purple glow through the window.

We have had a real problem with bugs on our back patio and since getting this we are able to enjoy but free evenings outside! We use it to sit outside and enjoy the sunsets. Since getting this we can do it bug free. There was a HUGE decrease in the amount of bugs.
