We were looking for something to light up our hallway at night but we didn't want it garish and bright so I figured I'd try this.The most difficult thing was figuring out how to open it up to put in the batteries, but once I did, everything was easy-peasy. We have it hanging about a foot over the floor in the center of a 10-foot hallway. It puts out enough light to see where we're going but not so much to wake us up if we're groggy. It only works if there's movement and if it's dark. If both conditions are not met, it doesn't light up - which is exactly the way we wanted it to work.Easy to hang. Simple to use. Nice ambiance.One additional bonus is that when our cat walks by it and it lights up, he jumps about 3 feet in the air and literally bounces off the wall so it makes for great entertainment too. (Although he's getting to used to it... sigh...)

I am one of those people that needs complete darkness to sleep. I even put black tape over the light on the smoke alarm...lol.my friend stayed over one night and slept in my room and stated that she now knows what it must be like to be blind, it is that dark. Any light seems to wake me up. When I need to go to the bathroom I just fumble around and have ended up on the floor instead of the toilet a time or two. This light is perfect. I have placed it on the ceiling above the toilet. It has 3m tape so now worried about it doing any damage. The light is a soft yellow glow. It is bright enough for you to see but not so bright it jolts you awake. It stays on for about 30 seconds with no movement so after I sit on the toilet it is dark again but when I move to get up it comes back on so I am not exposed to the light for that long. I love this light and I love that it takes 3 AAA batteries. It is a bit tricky to get the back off to add batteries but once you get it and see how to do it, it becomes much easier. I would recommend this to anyone. Going to get some for my mother and friends for Xmas presents.Update:I had put this on the ceiling in my bathroom. I was sitting one night and heard a crash of some place and could not find the source of the noise. Several hours later I went upstairs to bed. When I went in bathroom I noticed my toilet glowing and low and behold my night light had come off the ceiling and fell in the toilet. It was floating and working. I pulled it out and thought well that is ruined but after cleaning it with bleach it works just fine.there was no water in it and it had been floating the bowl for hours... Amazed! I still give it 5 stars but know that the tape on this is not great so you may want to go get your own 3m tape to add to it. For some reasons the tape on the light does not stick to the light. I added new tape and seems to be fine now. I also did not put it back over the toilet bowl...lol

Our cat has some vision issues and we noticed in the evenings she wasnt using her litter box we tried everything....then I wondered if maybe she just couldnt see it that well (she doesnt like completely dark spaces) So I purchased this light and put it right where her litter box is. When she comes into the bathroom the motion sensor pops the light on and she can see where she is going. We havent had a problem since I bought it. Fixed our issue and light works every time! Great Buy.

The amber lighting is a perfect brightness. Love the size and ease of the product. It detects motion efficiently. Here’s the downfalls: it’s far too easy to remove the back- simple twist and pop off it comes. Now for us this is a downfall Bc we are using it as a nightlight. It’s much too easy for a toddler to remove it and have access to the batteries. Which isn’t ideal for small children during the night when they are unsupervised. We also wish it would stay lit just a bit longer once motion is detected. Quick on, quick off. Just could use a bit more time. If those two things don’t bother you, you’re good to go!*update* adhesive ring to attach light to surface is very weak. I have now used both adhesive rings within about 2 weeks. Light just keeps falling off. Also- the back continues to fall off. So now it’s a real problem- light falls off wall due to weak adhesive , back pops off and batteries go flying... awesome. Wouldn’t recommend this project

This light works great. The color is good. The motion detection is good. In fact so great I bought 3 of them.Imagine my surprise when one I wake up and all the lights I’ve bought and hung on the walls on the ground. I used the wall hanger attachment that comes included which is a plastic piece that attaches via a sticker to the back of the light. The light will stay attached for a couple weeks but eventually it will fall off.So if you need a light to just lie on the counter this is great but if you want to hang it on the wall then this light is not for you.

I replaced an "as seen on tv" stick up light that worked well but was way too bright just outside our bedroom. This light is just the right brightness and works well. It has been stuck to the cieling for about two weeks and is holding well. If you go by the instructions and clean the area with alcohol it seems to hold well. I'm adding this to my review. After about three weeks the adhesive let go. I'm keeping five stars because being pretty handy I just drilled a couple small holes in the base, beveled the holes and put it back up with two small screws and the light still performs well. I think it would be good for the company to provide a screw installation option. The as seen on tv light does offer this. Over all I'm still very happy with the light.

I need stick on lights for the closets. So I ordered 3 Motion Sensor Stick On lights. When we put them on, the light was too dim to see. But the product is well designed, comes with batteries, works well as a night light, so we ended up keeping them. I would have given 4 stars for its price point and good quality, but it wasn't easy to operate. Product instructions should be clear about how to open the back for batteries. It should include: "Slight counter clock wise twist, then tap it slightly so the cover will come off."
